AEW: Next Week’s AEW Rampage & Collision Shows Airing Updates, Katsuyori Shibata Return & Two New Matches Set for Sat. Collision Show, Mercedes Mone

Next Week’s AEW Rampage & Collision Shows to be Preempted

As noted before, AEW is currently not scheduled to air a new AEW Collision show on March 23rd due to TNT’s upcoming broadcast commitments with the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. AEW will be taking that week off and will return with a new Collision show on March 30th.

Besides Collision, next week’s AEW Rampage show will also be preempted due to similar reasons.

In a recent schedule listing update, TBS currently has next week’s Rampage show scheduled to air live on Wednesday, March 20th on their network instead of TNT. This show will air at 10PM EST following that night’s Dynamite show on the network.

Mercedes Mone Comments on Feeling Like “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in Her AEW Debut

Variety held a recent interview with Mercedes Mone. One of the topics discussed included Mone reflecting about making her official debut for AEW at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Big Business show in her hometown of Boston.

“It was unbelievable. I still haven’t gotten to take everything in yet, but my heart was just pounding out of my chest. Once I heard the beat drop in the music and the ‘CEO’ chants were on the screens, and then they revealed the ‘Mercedes Moné’ name, that eruption was so electric. I felt so cool. I felt like Stone Cold Steve Austin, when fans just lift up all their signs and stand up with their arms raised. I felt so cool. It was the best feeling in the world.”

In a recent separate interview with AEW, Mone gave her thoughts about the reaction she got from the crowd for her official debut in AEW was the biggest of her career.

“What an unbelievable feeling that I still haven’t even really gotten to process. I can’t wait to watch back all the videos.

…that first initial reaction was, like it felt like there was millions of people… the fans erupted… that was legit one of the coolest reactions in all my time in wrestling.

I’m just ready for so much more here in AEW.”
