HENARE Pulled from NJPW The New Beginning in Sapporo 2024 Events Over Head Injury

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that they have pulled HENARE from their The New Beginning in Sapporo 2024 events on Friday and this Saturday in Sapporo, Japan due to HENARE not being medically cleared from a head injury he suffered at their The New Beginning in Osaka 2024 event earlier this month.

It was announced that due to HENARE being pulled, they have made changes to the cards of both night’s events.

HENARE, who was scheduled to wrestle this weekend at new Beginning in Sapporo, will be unable to compete due to the head wound he sustained February 11 in Osaka.

We apologise to fans who were looking forward to seeing HENARE wrestle, and appreciate your understanding.

TNA Announces Two New Matches for Card of No Surrender 2024

TNA Wrestling announced two new matches for the card of their No Surrender 2024 event, which takes place tonight at the Alario Center in Westwego, Louisiana.

The first new match announced was a Countdown to No Surrender pre-show match of Speedball Mountain (“Speedball” Mike Bailey & Trent Seven) vs. The Rascals (Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel).

The second new match announced was a TNA World Championship #1 Contender match of Eric Young vs. Frankie Kazarian.

Thursday’s ROH TV show for Ring of Honor featured Taya Valkyrie, Red Velvet, Abadon, and Billie Starkz advancing to the Quarterfinals round of the on-going ROH Women’s World Television Championship tournament.

Sendai Girls Pro announced that they have recently signed a streaming deal with CyberFight to air their events live on the Wrestle Universe streaming service starting next month.

WrestleCon recently announced that Tony Schiavone and Dustin Rhodes will be making an appearance for the company at their WrestleCon 2024 on April 4-7, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced that they have recently signed a new working partnership deal with Costa Rica Wrestling Embassy.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Tetsuya Naito gave his thoughts about Will Ospreay and Kazuchika Okada’s departures from NJPW. Naito stated “Okada and Ospreay are taking on new challenges. Good for them, and I wish them well. But my job is to make sure they regret leaving New Japan, and I need to keep defending this title in main events to do that. There are fans who might be worried about the future of New Japan. But anyone watching will be able to see that with Tetsuya Naito and Los Ingobernables De Japon around, there’s no cause for concern.

As noted before, Moose signed a new contract with Impact/TNA Wrestling this past June to keep him in the company for the foreseeable future. In a recent interview with Fightful’s In The Weeds podcast, Moose stated that his new deal with TNA is for five years in length. Moose stated “I have a five-year contract with TNA and I’m expected to perform and live out all five years of that deal, and continue my goal to build TNA to bigger and better things.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that TNA officials will be holding a meeting with their talent prior to the start of this Saturday’s Impact television tapings in New Orleans, Louisiana. Johnson reported that several people within TNA currently believed that Anthem Sports & Entertainment CEO Len Asper will be in attendance at this upcoming meeting.

Anthem reportedly is currently planning to rebrand their AXS TV network to a new potential name of ANTHEM later this year, according to PWInsider.

TNA officials reportedly are currently considering plans to hold a pay-per-view event later this year in Montreal, Canada, according to PWInsider.

Major League Wrestling recently announced one new match for the card of their Intimidation Games 2024 event on February 24th in New York City, New York:
