As noted before, Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Phoenix, Arizona featured the official announcement of the March 13th Dynamite show will be taking place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts and will be called AEW Big Business.
Following AEW’s announcement, Mercedes Mone responded on Twitter stating “I remember when couldn’t pay the rent. Now I own the whole building that I’m living in. Sky’s the limit when you’re never giving in. You get in, you ride it out. And don’t look back again.”
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Mone has been on the company’s official payroll since at least early January of this year.
It was reported that AEW officials had considered announcing or debuting Mone this past January but decided to pass on it for the upcoming show at the TD Garden instead. This decision reportedly had been set for several weeks prior to AEW’s official announcement of their Big Business show.
In regards to Mone’s in-ring return from injury, it was reported that Mone was nowhere near being ready for an in-ring return for a debut as far back as AEW’s Dynamite Grand Slam 2023 show this past September. Those spoken to within NJPW reported confirmed that she was not cleared for a return nor had she resumed training for an in-ring return at that point. It was reported that training footage Mone had recently posted on social media was stated to have been “older footage.”
In regards to NJPW, it was reported that those spoken to within NJPW currently expect to have the ability to continue to work with Mone with plans for her currently being discussed.
