Sting Gives Speech to the Crowd Following Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Huntsville, Alabama was billed by AEW as being Sting’s “final Dynamite” as an active wrestler.
Following the show, Sting gave a speech to the live crowd reflecting on his final Dynamite appearance of his wrestling career and his time with Darby Allin and Ric Flair in AEW.
“I’m not only doing my last Dynamite. I’m doing my last Dynamite in Huntsville. I’m doing my last Dynamite with Darby Allin as my tag team partner. I’m doing my last Dynamite with ‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair right next to me. When you say ‘Thank you, Sting,’ thank you. Thank you, Huntsville, Alabama. That’s the second time I’ve actually come out of the ceiling in this building. The first time, I threw the bat to Dallas Page, so there’s some good history right here. I’m glad to be back right here. What can I say after all these years? What can I say? Anything that I would say is just kind of trivial when I really mean thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. I could not have done any of this without this tag team partner right here, Darby Allin. I would have never been put on the map if it wasn’t for this man right here, ‘The Nature Boy.’ I love you, Huntsville. Thank you, thank you.”

AEW Reportedly Considering Adding Another PPV to Their PPV Events Schedule
AEW reportedly is currently considering plans to add another pay-per-view event to their yearly PPV events schedule, according to Fightful Select.
Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources within Warner Brothers Discovery stated that AEW is considering adding a new event called “Dynasty” to their schedule. Those spoken to reportedly stated that this is connected to a recent trademark for the same term that was filed by AEW last week.
Sapp also reported that this could be for a potential new PPV event or telvision special and potentially take place during the month of April.
Sapp also reported that while AEW currently does not have any events listed for their events schedule after April 3rd, WBD officials are currently under the belief that AEW will be holding an event during that month.
AEW News & Notes
AEW recently released a new episode of their Johnny Loves Taya romcom series featuring Johnny TV and Taya Valkyrie on their official YouTube channel.
Former WCW and National Wrestling Alliance wrestler “Loverboy” Dennis Condrey reportedly was in attendance backstage at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Huntsville, Alabama, according to PWInsider.
In a recent interview with The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Bryan Danielson gave his thoughts about Daniel Garcia being his choice for a new member of the Blackpool Combat Club if the group were to grow in size. Danielson stated “I really like the B.C.C. as it is right now. But if I had to pick one person to add, I think it would be Daniel Garcia… I like his style.” (Transcript h/t: PostWrestling.com)
In a recent interview with Fanatics View, Darby Allin stated that he has a special entrance planned for Sting’s final match at this Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2024 event. Allin stated “I got a special thing planned for Sting’s final entrance that I’ve been working on. So, we’ll see how everything plays out in Greensboro.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
In a recent episode of the Lex Expressed podcast featured wrestling legend and co-host Lex Luger giving his thoughts about if he will be in attendance for Sting’s retirement match at this Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2024 event. Luger stated “Let me put it this way…I will go back to 35 years of friendship. We talked about the guys [The Kliq] getting together at the Garden. Friendships sometimes transcend the kayfabe or work up the other, and there may be ramifications or may not. Sting was there for me at 3 in the morning when I had my motorcycle wreck and they wanted to cut my arm off. He kind of stopped the doctors from cutting my arm off. So people can read into that what they want, on whether I might be at the building or not. I won’t confirm anything, but I’m just saying. I’ll leave it in that context. How’s that?” (Transcript h/t: WrestlingInc.com)
In a recent interview with the Under The Ring podcast, Roderick Strong gave his thoughts about why Sting has been a positive example of what people in his position in the industry should be. Strong stated “Every interaction I’ve had with him has been fantastic and he’s had some great interactions with my wife. He’s just awesome. I said this a couple of times, but I really feel like he has just said such a good example of how someone in his position should be. He’s just cool. He’s easy to conversate with. He will give you his time. When he’s out there, he works his butt off. The stuff that he does is incredible. He’s just an absolute legend and just to be able to be on the same show as Sting, and it just so happens to be his last match, I don’t know, it’s just been awesome. Like I said, I haven’t talked to him a ton, but I respect the way he does his thing and lives his life. So it’s gonna be sad, because, obviously, I wish he’d be around more so I could get a chance to know him better. I mean, obviously, he’s been doing this forever, and he deserves his time. So, I’m just grateful I get to be there for it.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
