Darby Allin Comments on Sting’s Sons Not Currently Interested in Pursuing Wrestling Careers

The February 7th AEW Dynamite show in Phoenix, Arizona featured Sting’s sons Garrett Lee and Steven Borden Jr. being involved in a storyline angle featuring The Young Bucks attacking Darby Allin and Sting following Allin and Sting’s AEW World Tag Team Championship victory on the show. Besides Allin and Sting, Sting’s sons were also attacked by The Young Bucks to close out the show.

Digital Spy held a recent interview with Allin. One of the topics discussed included Allin’s thoughts about if Sting’s sons are currently interested in following their father’s footsteps in pursuing careers in professional wrestling.

“They’re not interested at all. I’ve asked [Sting] I was like, ‘I’m just curious, I really want to know have your sons ever tried this?’ He said, ‘No, they’re not interested.’ It just wasn’t a thing that they wanted to do, but I was curious because they’re pretty big dudes. They should get together, become a tag team – that would be cool.”

Tony Khan Comments on Reason for AEW Running Larger Arenas Despite Low Attendances for Show

GV Wire held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about why AEW runs their events at larger arenas despite having lower attendances for their shows.

“It depends on the market and the time. A lot of times, those arenas have a lot of big advantages like email lists and marketing and they are a destination venue for shows. It depends on the market and the timing. Certainly, bigger arenas do have a lot of advantages. They have a lot of sale contacts and really good marketing resources.”

Khan also gave his thoughts about if not utilizing the entire arena has other advantages for AEW shows.

“It depends. They have a better chance of outreaching to certain customers than other venues.”
