I have never taken a single day for granted, because I learned early, that the amazing position I have is leased, never owned. In a recent interview with the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, former WWE talent Rick Boogs, real name Eric Bugenhagen, gave his thoughts about his past comments claiming that Vince McMahon’s removal from WWE in 2022 “killed” his career in the company. Boogs stated “Well, I mean, if you look at it objectively, look at my NXT run and then look at when I was seen by Vince and look at that run. Then, when management and the whole regime changed again, look at that run. A lot of people say, ‘Oh, he was injured.’ I was supposed to be brought back early when I wasn’t cleared, a month or two after rehab. I was really pumped. ‘Yeah, let’s get back out there,’ and it was kiboshed.” Boogs also gave his thoughts about his past comments claiming that someone held a grudge against him in WWE. Boogs stated “Grudge isn’t the right word. In development, I was told, ‘You have an awesome personality, and people like you, and the crowd is with you. Just keep getting better in the ring.’ Basically, with that regime, that’s all I ever heard. Dude, this is scripted television. We can make this whatever. It’s frustrating, but at the same time, I get where both sides are coming from.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

In a recent interview with the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Adam Copeland, former Edge in WWE, gave his thoughts about several of the dropped ideas WWE officials had for Judgement Day during his time in the group. Copeland stated “At one point it was talked about a cauldron with bubbling black fluid and I’m holding a pitchfork. I was like, ‘Woahh..I don’t want to do that because that’s not going to work.’ There was one week, they wanted us to float to the ring. ‘What?’ ‘No, we’ll put it on a dolly.’ Then, I’m sitting on a throne and Priest is full core engaged because he’s basically surfing holding onto this thing, and all I felt going as we’re going down was ‘This is Spinal Tap. This is Spinal Tap.’ We got to the back and I was like, ‘I don’t think that entrance works, guys.’ But, it was, ‘I’ll give it a shot.’ It ain’t my sandbox. I don’t cut the checks. This is what you want, I’ll try and make it work, but I’ll also be the first one to tell you, ‘That didn’t work. We probably shouldn’t do that anymore, right?” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
