Giovanni Vinci Suffered Potential Head Injury at Monday’s RAW Show

Monday’s RAW Day 1 show featured Imperium’s Giovanni Vinci suffering a potential head injury.

During the tag team match between Kofi Kingston & Jey Uso vs. Imperium on the show, Vinci attempted a top rope move to Kingston only for Kingston to counter it by hitting a dropkick to Vinci’s head causing Vinci to land hard on his heat onto the mat. The referee checked on Vinci and then called for a medical doctor to come in to attend to Vinci. The referee then called for the bell due to Vinci being unable to continue and awarded the match victory to Kingston and Uso as a result.

WWE doctor just brought the match to an end due to something happening to Giovanni Vinci. Maybe a concussion.

Following the match, Vinci was shown being assisted to the back and holding his head.

Awesome Truth Reunited at Monday’s RAW Show

Monday’s RAW Day 1 show also featured The Miz and R-Truth reuniting as Awesome Truth.

This reunion was setup following a Miz TV segment involving Miz, Truth, and Judgement Day’s JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio. The Miz called out for Judgement Day to show up as his scheduled guests for his Miz TV segment which led to R-Truth coming out instead. Miz asked Truth where was the rest of the group, which Truth responded that he thought they had followed him out to the stage. After some more back-and-forth banter, McDonagh and Mysterio came out to interrupted and engaged in a heated argument with Miz and Truth over Truth not being a real member of Judgement Day despite what Truth says. This led to Mysterio challenging Miz to a tag team match and Miz accepting stating that it would be Judgement Day and Awesome Truth. Truth interrupted stating that he wanted to know who he was going to team up with leading to Miz reminding him that they were Awesome Truth. Truth then pretended to go along with Miz’s offer and winked to Mysterio which left both Mysterio and McDonagh confused prior to the start of the match.

The Rock Makes Surprise Return at Monday’s RAW Show

Monday’s RAW Day 1 show also featured Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson making a surprise appearance and return to WWE.

During the show, ring announcer Samantha Irvin informed everything that a “former WWE champion” was about to make his return in moments. After a brief pause, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal’s entrance theme played leading to the crowd booing over him being revealed as the surprise. Mahal then got into the ring and proceeded to bash the crowd and Americans while bringing up a lot of truthful points about how divided America has become. Mahal then proceeded to give a speech in Punjabi which the crowd was not appreciative about which led to Mahal revealing that they proved what he was saying was true since they just booed their national anthem he spoke in his native language.

Before Mahal could continue on with his rant, The Rock’s music played and walked down to the ring to confront Mahal. The Rock proceeded to ridicule Mahal and bashed him for his insulting rants about America. After some more insults filled banter, The Rock instructed the crowd to chant “Day 1 Douchebag” to Mahal which they for a lengthy period of time and continued to ridicule Mahal in the form of an insults-filled rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. After The Rock finished, Mahal and Rock engaged in a brawl resulting in The Rock standing tall in the end.

Following his brawl with Mahal, The Rock stated that he had one last thing to say before he’d leave. The Rock stated that he was hungry after that fight and asked the crowd where he should go out to eat either in a booth, at the bar, or the head of the table calling out Roman Reigns in the process.
