Cora Jade Suffered Knee Injury at Friday’s NXT House Show Event
NXT talent Cora Jade suffered a knee injury at a NXT house show event for WWE on Friday in Dade City, Florida.
During her match against NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria, Jade suffered the injury following a spot where she landed awkwardly on her leg causing the match to be cut right to the finish. Following the match, Jade was seen being attended to by NXT medical personal and referees and was carried to the back for further treatment.

Following the show, Jade provided an update on Twitter confirming her injury but gave no other details regarding the nature nor severity.

WWE Reportedly Working on New Bray Wyatt Project
WWE reportedly is currently working on a new project based on Bray Wyatt, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE had been actively working on this new project throughout this past week and had interviewed Wyatt’s real life brother and former WWE talent Bo Dallas in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Johnson reported that WWE also interviewed Jason Baker, creator of Wyatt’s The Fiend mask, for this project as well and might have also filmed some content at the Callosum Studio in Pittsburgh.
No other details were given regarding the potential release date nor airing status of this new Wyatt project.

The January 9th episode of WWE NXT saw NXT suffer a large decline in overall viewership and a small decline in key demographic ratings and key demographic rankings.
NXT drew 722,000 viewers and a 0.21 key demographic rating on USA Network. NXT’s key demographic ranking was 6th place.

Dave Meltzer reported that the main reasons for NXT’s declines this week was due to the large decline from their overall key demographic viewership group, which was down 14.6% compared to last week’s show.
In terms of notable head-to-head competition, the NBA game of Memphis Grizzles vs. Dallas Maverick drew 364,000 viewers on NBA TV, the College basketball game of Missouri vs. Kentucky drew 1,136,000 viewers on ESPN, the College basketball game of Duke vs. Pittsburgh drew 717,000 viewers on ESPN, the College basketball game of Houston vs. Iowa State drew 448,000 viewers on ESPN2, the College basketball game of Texas A&M vs. Auburn drew 341,000 viewers on ESPN2, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City drew 814,000 viewers on BRAVO, Moonshiners drew 808,000 viewers on Discovery Channel, Curse of Oak Island drew 2,431,000 viewers on History Channel, 1000-LB Sisters drew 1,193,000 viewers on TLC, and 1000-LB Sisters Supersize drew 653,000 viewers on TLC.
In terms of key demographic viewership, NXT had 281,000 viewers.
In terms of peak viewership, NXT’s peak overall viewership reportedly was at 801,000 viewers during the quarter hour featuring the ending of the 2024 Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic First Round match of Baron Corbin & Bron Breakker vs. Gallus, the Fallon Henley & Tiffany Stratton barn segment, and the Lyria Valkyria, Lola Vice, & Elektra Lopez promo & brawl with Tatum Paxley. NXT peak key demographic viewership reportedly was at 303,000 viewers for the same quarter hour.
In terms of yearly comparisons, NXT was up 3.1% in overall viewership and up 39.1% in key demographic viewership.
