WWE: Charlotte Flair Underwent Knee Surgery, CM Punk on WWE Return & Seth Rollins’ Issues with Him, Becky Lynch Health Update

Charlotte Flair Underwent Knee Surgery

As noted before, Charlotte Flair suffered a torn ACL, a torn meniscus, and a torn MCL injuries this past December and is currently expected to be out of action for at least the next nine months.

Flair provided an update on Instagram stating that she recently underwent surgery and promised that she will return back as the best version of the “Queen.”

“Family, Friends & Fans,

THANK YOU for all the positive, beautiful messages & flowersđŸ™đŸ» I feel supported in every way. It has taken me a few days and many MANY tears to wrap my head around everything. I happen to be an expert in overthinking and this is the first time I’ve ever been truly scared. Scared of the unknown but also feeling like I’m losing what I’m most proud of and that’s being an athlete. I don’t like showing physical weakness and this has left me feeling exposed. A process I know I will grow from but a very new one to me. This was a huge blow to me mentally and obviously physically going into 2024. 2023 was a rollercoaster and I am trying to stay positive and maybe this was the only way to stop, refocus, rebuild & eventually conquer again.

I can’t thank this year’s Smackdown locker-room enough. I enjoyed every second đŸ™đŸ» and will be rooting from the sidelines đŸ’ȘđŸ»

I have been a bad guy for most of my career but this year was different for me. I CHERISHED every hug, high-five and fist pump this year at live events and for the first time in my career felt comfortable in my own boots being the good guy đŸ‘žđŸŒ 🩋 I learned so much as a performer and plan on starting right where I left off.

I promise I am going to work 24/7 over the next nine months to come back the best version of the Queen you’ve ever seen.

“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life, as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.”

Climbing my own mountain will be my greatest test yet.

Thank you for all the love ❀

Here’s to 2024. 💎

Love,
Ashley
Aka Charlotte đŸ«¶đŸ» “

CM Punk Reflects on His WWE Return at Survivor Series 2023 & Seth Rollins’ Issues with Him

Thursday’s WWE 2024 Preview Special show on Peacock featured CM Punk among the guests. One of the topics discussed included Punk’s thoughts about his return to WWE at this past November’s Survivor Series WarGames 2023 event.

“Oh God, how much time we got? I feel like we could take up the whole show just talking (about my return at Survivor Series). Everything that day just happened so fast. You should never text and drive ladies and gentlemen. So I was trying to drive to the Allstate Arena and let everybody that deserved to know, that was in my orbit know what was about to happen so I’m texting my sisters, because nobody knew. This is how you get things done in this business. You keep things close to the vest, you don’t leak stuff and that’s when the magic happens and it was a magical moment and it was so many things going through my head. The nerves, people I haven’t seen in 10 years. I had questions, worries, maybe even concerns and that all dissolved when that song hit, ‘Cult of Personality’ and I walked out in front of my hometown. I couldn’t hear the song anymore. I didn’t know my cues. As a performer, (you) try to hit your cues based on the song. Like where we’re at, where’s Corey Glover at? Okay, I’m gonna do this. This is when I say, ‘It’s clobbering time.’ All of it went out the window. I couldn’t hear the song, I just heard the people and it was a very magical moment.”

Punk also gave his thoughts about making his official WWE in-ring return at WWE’s Holiday Tour show events last month at Madison Square Garden.

“It was amazing (returning to in-ring action at MSG & Kia Forum house shows). We call them live events now is how old I am. They’re house shows to me, they probably always will be. They were my bread and butter. TV’s one thing, TV’s a whole other nervous ball of energy. Everybody’s worried about sticking to times on television and you have a lot of bosses. When I’m on house shows, I don’t have boss, I get to have fun and (it) just brought me back to starting wrestling in the first place. The reason why you do it. For some reason, you’re drawn to doing this and I just got to have fun in a relaxed atmosphere in front of some people who were super excited to see me and I got to punch ‘Dirty Dom’ in the face. All in a day’s work.”

Punk also gave his thoughts about Seth Rollins’ longtime real life issues with him.

“I viewed Seth as somebody who was following my footsteps. I think there are a lot of people who are in WWE now who, for better or for worse, looked up to a guy like me. I always like to thank the legends that helped paved the way for the roads that I travel now. Guys like Terry Funk, Eddie Guerrero, Bret Hart, Tracy Smothers, Chris Candido. There are a litany of guys that I always feel, I wouldn’t have gotten the opportunities that I got if it weren’t for them. I guess I’m in a position where, it feels maybe strange, me vocalizing it, but Seth is a guy, at least I definitely thought it ten years ago. He’s a dude that I don’t think would have gotten the opportunities that he’s gotten if it wasn’t for me. That might hurt some people’s feelings, but facts are facts, they don’t care about your feelings …

What Seth honestly feels about me is none of my business, that’s how I approach it. Maybe he’s jealous, maybe he’s envious, it’s not for me to decide and figure out. Luckily, there is a ring. A lot of times, when you have differences with somebody, you get to settle it in the ring. The Rumble is in my immediate future. If Seth is still the champion when the dust clears, maybe we can talk about it then and settle it in the ring “
