As noted before, WWE is currently very interested in potentially signing Giulia once her current contract with Stardom expires at the end of March of 2024. In an interesting note, Stardom’s Ittenyeon Stardom Gate 2024 on Thursday in Tokyo, Japan featured Giulia officially disbanding her Donna del Mondo faction.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter his sources stated that Bushiroad officials had made the decision for Giulia to disband her group in Stardom. Meltzer reported that this was due to Bushiroad wanting to get ahead of things due to them being recently told by Giulia that she will not be signing a new contract once her current deal expires this March. Meltzer also reported that Giulia is still currently expected to be heading to WWE.
Giulia reportedly is currently planning to take some time off from wrestling starting this March so that she can extensively study English so that her level of English speaking does not be perceived as a negative for her when she arrives in WWE later this year. Meltzer reported that the current belief within WWE is that Giulia will be in the company by the end of 2024. Meltzer also reported that Giulia might do some wrestling in Japan following her studying before leaving for WWE.
Meltzer also reported that WWE’s current attempts at forming a potential partnership with Stardom and then signing the person who could be the top star of the same promotion they are trying to form a partnership with makes the current political situation between both companies different compared to what it was when they first approached Giulia for a deal.
