RUSH attempted a Bull’s Horn only for Moxley to block it leading to RUSH attempting another Bull’s Horn only for Moxley to counter with a King King Lariat. Moxley then hit a Death Rider for a nearfall and followed it with a Bulldog Choke for the ref stoppage victory to earn himself another 3 points.

The second Gold League match was Swerve Strickland defeating Mark Briscoe.

After some more action, Strickland hit a Swerve Stomp to Briscoe for the pinfall victory to earn 3 points and remain tied with Jon Moxley at the top of Gold League group. As a result of his loss, Briscoe was officially eliminated from being able to advance in the Continental Classic tournament.

MJF Accuses Hangman Adam Page of Being the AEW Devil & Gets Attacked by Mystery Person

Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured MJF being attacked by a mystery person resulting in his scheduled tag team match with Samoa Joe against the AEW Devil’s mystery masked men team being called off.

During the show, a backstage interview segment took place involving Hangman Adam Page. After Page talked about his issues with Swerve Strickland and them still having unfinished business, MJF showed up to interrupt. After some back-and-forth banter, MJF acussed Page of being the AEW Devil which led to Page denying the accusations and stated that MJF should be honest and admit he’s been the AEW Devil the whole time. This led to Samoa Joe showing up to put an end to their confrontation and making sure MJF stayed healthy like he had promised.

Later in the show, Joe came out for his entrance for his and MJF’s tag team match against the AEW Devil’s mystery masked team. Before anything could happen, the lights went out and when it returned, a video played on the big screen showing the AEW Devil. The video then went to static and came back showing MJF laid out motionless in the parking lot with a broken bottle and glass pieces around his body.

Riho Makes Surprise Return at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured Riho making her surprise return to AEW.

Following Toni Storm’s victory over Skye Blue in a hard fought match to retain her TBS Championship, Storm celebrated in the ring only to be interrupted by Riho’s music. Riho came out and ran to the ring to confront Storm. Riho pointed at Storm’s belt for the reason why she came out and engaged in a brief scuffle that resulted in Storm being carried away to safety by Luther away from the ring.

This was Riho’s first appearance in AEW since this past April.
