AEW: Andrade Contract Update & AEW Future, Kip Sabian on His Decision to Stay in AEW, Worlds End Tickets Sales Update

Andrade El Idolo AEW Contract Status Update – Andrade Likely Returning to WWE Once AEW Contract Expires

As noted before, Andrade El Idolo currently is under the belief that his contract with AEW is set to expire relatively soon. Andrade’s contract is believed to be expiring in Summer of 2024 baring AEW officials adding time to make up time he was away from injury.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that those within WWE are currently under the expectation that Andrade will be returning to their company once his current contract with AEW expires.

Those close to Andrade reportedly stated Andrade might go back to WWE but he is also currently open to staying in AEW if AEW CEO Tony Khan makes a better offer than WWE for a new deal.

Kip Sabian Comments on His Decision to Sign New Deal with AEW

As noted before, Kip Sabian signed a new deal with AEW this past summer to remain in the company for the foreseeable future.

A recent episode of Cultaholic’s Desert Island Graps featured Sabian as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Sabian’s thoughts about his decision to sign a new contract to stay in AEW.

“Indeed (Sabian responded when it was said AEW has him on the books for another three years). Of course, yeah (it was great news)… I love it when these things come up. I love it when these things come up because the way that now the curtain has been pulled back, there’s all this speculation and talk and this kind of stuff. I had no intentions of going anywhere else and confirmed or not, whether it was reached out to me, I wanted to stay because I genuinely love being in AEW. So yeah, for me as well, it’s a pat on the back because it’s, ‘We would still like you’ so we had that conversation, we came to an agreement and I was very happy with the agreement and they were very happy with the agreement and I’m still an AEW boy. So yeah, it’s definitely the situation where there’s a lot of things I want to do over the time that I’m still in AEW so, yeah.”

Sabian also gave his thoughts about his current goals for his AEW career.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I want to and I will make sure that at some point, I do become the (AEW) International Championship holder. When me and Orange (Cassidy) had that feud, I think that — not really got overshadowed but I don’t think many people realized how good that short run that we had together was and how much there is that could be done from that going forward.”
