Tony D’Angelo & Stacks Win NXT Tag Team Titles at Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT show featured Tony D’Aneglo & Stacks defeating Chase U to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions.

Prior to the start of the show, Andre Chase, Duke Hudson, Thea Hail, and Jacy Jayne were seen in the NXT parking lot walking to the venue for tonight’s show. Chase deflected questions from reporters asking what was in the envelope he received last week and the unknown scandal affecting his Chase University.

The finish to the match involved Chase hitting a Side Russian Leg Sweep to D’Angelo and proceeded to hit his C-H-A-S-E-U stomps only to be distracted by several more of his Chase U student leaving the crowd over them being upset over his mystery scandal. Chase then punched Stacks off the apron which led to D’Angelo grabbing Chase with an Inside Cradle for a nearfall. D’Angelo then hit a spinebuster to Chase and tagged in Stacks. D’Angelo kicked Hudson off the apron to the floor and him and Stacks hit their tandem Bada Bing Bada Boom finisher to Chase for the pinfall victory to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions.

Chad Gable vs. Noam Dar for NXT Heritage Cup Announced for Next Week’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured the official announcement of a NXT Heritage Cup match of Chad Gable vs. Noam Dar (c) for next week’s NXT show.

This match was setup following a in-ring Supernova 11 Sessions talk show segment involving Alpha Academy and Meta-Four. After some back-and-forth insults banter between the two groups, Gable issued a challenge for Dar’s Heritage Cup teasing Otis being his challenger. After some laughter and ridicule by Dar, he accepted the challenge and stated that this match would take place on next week’s show. Maxxine then listed all of the accomplishments by Dar’s challenger and revealed once she said that this person was an Olympian that the whole thing was just a trap by Gable since he was the real challenger instead. Later in the show, it was announced that this match was made official for next week’s show.

Lash Legend & Trick Williams Advances to Women’s & Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Matches

Tuesday’s NXT show featured one Women’s and one Men’s qualifying matches for the Women’s and Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge matches at WWE’s NXT Deadline 2023 event, which takes place on December 9th in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

The first match was Lash Legend defeating Roxanne Perez in a Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier match.

The finish to the match involved Jakara Jackson grabbing Perez’s feet and yanking her down to the mat while at ringside which led to the referee ejecting her from the match since he saw what she did. After some back-and-forth action, Jackson ran out to ringside again and distracted the referee leading to Kiana James running in from the other side and interfered by shoving Perez into the corner. This led to Legend hitting a bicycle kick and power bomb combo to Perez for the pinfall victory to advance to the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline 2023.

The second match was Trick Williams defeating Joe Coffey in a Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifier match.

The finish to this match involved Gallus interfering in the match resulting in Carmelo Hayes trying to save Williams but in the process accidentally caused Williams to crash out of the ring. Coffey hit a suicide dive targeted at Hayes and Williams but Hayes stepped away resulting in Williams getting laid out. After some more action, Coffey attempted to hit a running clothesline to Williams only for Williams to counter with a jumping knee strike for the pinfall victory to advance to the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline 2023.

Legend joins Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge match while Williams joins Dijak for the Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at next month’s NXT Deadline 2023 event.
