WWE announced this past weekend that tonight’s WWE RAW show in Greenville, South Carolina will feature NXT talents The Creed Brothers, Julius and Brutus Creed, making their RAW brand debut and competing in a tag team match against Alpha Academy. This match was setup following Alpha Academy’s Chad Gable issuing out an open challenge for a tag team match on Twitter and Julius Creed accepting the challenge.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that the reason for this match is due to WWE officials currently have plans to officially call-up The Creeds Bros from their NXT brand starting at tonight’s RAW show. Meltzer reported that WWE officials currently are very high on Julius as a singles competitor but for the time being, the Creed Bros will be working as a team on the main roster.
“I was told tonight that right now – barring any changes, not like it’s 100 percent – but right now, they’re being called up.
I think it’s about time for them to be called up, honestly.
There was a time where my mentality was, and I’m sure it’s the same as theirs, it’s like these guys have the chance to be really big stars. And they are very, very high on Julius as a singles, but they will probably start as a tag team.”
Julius Creed has been with WWE since October of 2020 while Brutus Creed has been with WWE since February of 2021.
