Impact Wrestling held a new set of Impact! television tapings this past Friday and Saturday at the Graceland Live in Memphis, Tennessee.
This new set of tapings was Mid-South Mayhem themed and were for the build of Impact’s upcoming Bound For Glory 2023 event, which takes place on October 21st at Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois.
In regards to notable moments from the tapings, Yuya Uemura received a second chance to save his job in Impact following him being the recipient of the “Fired” briefcase from the Feast or Fired match at the September 14th Impact 1000 Week 1 show. This was revealed to be in the form of a tag team match of JOYA vs. The Rascalz with the stipulation of if JOYA wins, then Uemura gets to stay in Impact. This was all for naught in the end due to JOYA losing the tag team match that was held afterwards at the tapings.
