Two New Matches Announced for AEW WrestleDream
Friday’s taped AEW Rampage show in Broomfield, Colorado featured two new matches officially announced for the card of AEW WrestleDream, which takes place on October 1st at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington.
The first new match announced was an AEW World Trios Championship match of TMDK (Bad Dude Tito, Shane Haste, & Mikey Nicholls) vs. The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) & Billy Gunn (c).
This match was setup during the AEW Trios title match on the show between The Hardys & Isiah Kassidy and The Acclaimed & Gunn. AEW commentator Excalibur stated that the winner of this match would be defending the titles on the Zero Hour pre-show at this Sunday’s WrestleDream event. The Acclaimed & Gunn successfully retained their titles following The Acclaimed hitting a KRS-1 onto Kassidy for the pinfall victory.
The second new match announced was a singles match of Nick Wayne vs. Luchasaurus. In a backstage promo segment on the show, Wayne called out Luchasaurus and stated that he wanted revenge over Luchasaurus chokeslamming him at AEW’s All In event this past August. Wayne then issued a challenge to Luchasaurus for a match at WrestleDream. This match was later confirmed to be official for WrestleDream’s Zero Hour pre-show by AEW commentator Excalibur.
Nick Wayne has unfinished business with former TNT Champion Luchasaurus, and they are set to collide one-on-one LIVE at #AEWWrestleDream ZERO HOUR at 7pm ET/4pm PT!
