Misc. Wrestling News & Notes
As noted before, Jordynne Grace’s contract with Impact Wrestling expired this past May and is currently on a break from wrestling for outside projects-related reasons. While responding to a fan on Twitter, Grace provided an update stating that she might return to wrestling next year but she is also currently in no hurry to do so.
Kota Ibushi announced on Twitter that he is currently dealing with tonsillitis but this would not impact his status for GLEAT’s event today in Tokyo, Japan. Ibushi was scheduled to be involved in a 10-Man Tag Team match at the event.
In a recent episode of the Off Her Chops podcast, co-host Cassie Lee gave her thoughts about why herself and Jessica McKay decided to take a break from wrestling. Lee stated “We wanted to take a step back because we both wanted to take a step forward with our acting aspirations and also, I had been trying to get pregnant for a f*cking long time at this point. I was like, I gotta work this out and I feel like maybe because I keep wrestling, it’s not happening because my body — I keep wrestling, and so, it was tough because it wasn’t a smooth transition out. Only because we weren’t super honest about that. Because if I’m being honest, I don’t think it’s anybody’s business. Hey, I wanna take a step back because I wanna get pregnant. That’s not anyone’s business. But what am I gonna say? You know? It’s tough.” (Transcript h/t: PostWrestling.com)
