Keith Lee AEW Walk Out Rumor Killer

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that the recent rumor of Keith Lee had recently walked out of AEW is not true.

These rumors originated from Voices of Wrestling’s discord channel from their own sources who have been reliable with AEW news in the past.

It was reported that these rumors revolved around a booking-related issue involving Lee last week which was stated to have been just a case of miscommunication between Lee and AEW officials.

Those spoken to reportedly stated that Lee was backstage at last week’s Dynamite and Rampage tapings and at some point, Lee was told by an AEW official that he was not being used for that night’s Dynamite taping. Lee reportedly then left the building as has typically been the case with talent who show up to AEW shows only to be told they are not being used that night.

It was reported that Lee had in fact been booked for that night’s Rampage show instead but this was something that had not been relayed to him before he had left. Lee’s departure reportedly caused AEW officials original plans for the card for that night’s Rampage taping to be adjusted as a result.

It was reported that there is not any heat that they know of between AEW and Lee over this incident and those close to the situation stated that it had been “blown out of proportion” on social media. Those spoken to reportedly did not pass any blame on anyone over the incident.

It was also reported that Lee is currently scheduled to be backstage for tonight’s Dynamite and Collision double tapings in Duluth, Georgia.
