Bryan Danielson Comments on Hoping Blackpool Combat Club Never Breaks Up
Sports Illustrated held a recent interview with Bryan Danielson. One of the topics discussed included Danielson thoughts on Blackpool Combat Club staying strong together after William Regal left and revealed that they still kept Regal in their group chat.
“Our connection as a group feels real. That’s because it is. The story is we train together and we make each other better. The reality is that wrestling together, we do make each other better. Even when Regal left, we didn’t break, and he’s still on our BCC group chat.”
Danielson also gave his thoughts on his love of the group and being hopeful that they never break up.
“I love this group. This should be a group that never breaks up. Mox and I have wrestled since the BCC started, we wrestled in the championship tournament [last fall]. That didn’t cause any disturbances in the BCC. That’s the story of the BCC. When the BCC loses, we’ll shake hands and go back to training the next day.”

Rob Van Dam Comments on His AEW Debut
As noted before, this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Tampa, Florida featured ECW legend Rob Van Dam making a surprise appearance and official debut for AEW.
In a recent episode of the 1 Of A Kind with RVD podcast, host RVD gave his thoughts about his recent debut in AEW and how his surprise appearance at last week’s Dynamite show was kept as a secret backstage.
“It was a pretty good reaction from the crowd. I was concerned that the surprise would be blown because it usually is, and it didn’t get too far out. Even a lot of the boys were surprised, and they went through so much trouble to hide me. Even after we pulled into the garage, they put me in a wheelchair and put a black curtain over the top of me and pushed me all the way back to this room and I just had my own room, so I was like, ‘I’m not gonna fuck it up after they went through all that trouble’ and so I just stayed into my room until after my appearance. I was still seeing guys at the end of the night, Jeff Hardy and Matt and Brian Cage and they were still surprised. Everyone kept the lid on it pretty good.”
RVD also gave his thoughts about the backstage environment in AEW during his debut appearance for the company.
“Nothing bad, you know. I’m just trying to think of what I could say about it that would make it different. It’s not the big stressful production of WWE, it’s definitely not a small little indie show either. It’s somewhere in between, but closer to WWE. But when I’ve done TV for international shows that my fans wouldn’t know about, like in the UK or Australia, maybe I would [compare it to that] as far as like the free air, people are walking around genuinely happy to be there. I don’t know how to describe it as being… I can’t think of anything that was like, outstanding.”
