Update on Warner Bros Discovery & AEW New TV Deal Talks, WBD’s Interest in ROH, All In Broadcast Status

Fightful Select reported that their sources within Warner Bros Discovery stated that WBD and AEW officials have been in deep talks for a potential new television rights deal.

Those spoken to reportedly stated these talks have been ongoing for the past several months and they are currently under the belief that an official announcement of a new deal being reached could be made at some point this Summer or Fall.

In regards to WBD, it was reported that WBD officials spoken to stated that they have been very happy with AEW, especially in regards to the flexibility AEW had provided with adding and subtracting shows, providing different kinds of content, and working around preemptions and network changes for their shows.

In regards to Ring of Honor, it was reported that WBD still do not have much of an interest towards ROH and this has been something that actually dates back to when Sinclair owned the company.

It was reported that WBD currently has plenty of say and influence over AEW programming, such as with crossovers involving their IPs for AEW shows and talent that are or are not featured. Those spoken to reportedly stated that AEW has also been really flexible with overruns and other requests WBD officials have made.

In regards to the broadcast status of AEW’s upcoming All In event, it was reported that this has been something that has been actively discussed as part of AEW and WBD’s current talks.

One WBD source spoken to reportedly confirmed that AEW’s upcoming new television deal with WBD would be a “huge money increase for AEW, by the way things are looking now.”
