More on AEW Rampage Viewership for June 30
The June 30th episode of AEW Rampage saw AEW gain a large increase in overall viewership and a slight increase in key demographic ratings and key demographic rankings.
AEW drew 450,000 viewers and a 0.13 key demographic rating on TBS. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was 10th place.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the main reason for AEW’s increases that week was due to that night being weaker than usual for general cable television viewership with the top ranked show only generated a 0.16 key demographic rating for the second week in a row. Another reason reportedly was due to the large gains from their male key demographic viewership, which was up 27.2% compared to the prior week’s show. This reportedly offset the large decline from their younger key demographic viewership group, which was down 14.3% compared to the prior week’s show.
In terms of key demographic viewership, AEW had 171,000 viewers. AEW’s Males 18-34 had 23,000 viewers, Females 18-34 had 17,000 viewers, Males 35-49 had 94,000 viewers, and Females 35-49 had 37,000 viewers. Meltzer reported that the male/female viewership skew was 117,000 male viewers (up 27.2%) and 54,000 female viewers (up 1.9%) for a split of 68.4% in favor of males. Meltzer also reported that week’s Rampage and Collision did not rank in the youngest skewing sports shows for the week while that week’s Dynamite show was the sixth youngest skewing sports show, only behind one 2023 College World Series game, WWE RAW, one UFC event, one Formula 1 race, and one MLB game.
In terms of yearly comparisons, AEW was down 7.4% in overall viewership and down 17.8% in key demographic viewership. Meltzer reported that AEW’s 18-34 viewership was down 25% compared to the same week last year.

More on AEW Collision Viewership for July 1
The July 1st episode of AEW Collision saw AEW suffer a very large decline in overall viewership and a large decline in key demographic ratings and key demographic rankings.
AEW drew 452,000 viewers and a 0.13 key demographic rating on TBS. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was 15th place.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the main reasons for AEW’s declines that week was due to a combination of that night’s weaker than usual general television viewership due to the July 4th holiday weekend and the weak first quarter viewership for the show. Meltzer reported that Collision’s peak viewership did not take place until well over an hour into the show. Another reason reportedly was due to the very large drop from their younger male key demographic viewership group, which was down 82% compared to the prior week’s show. Meltzer reported that the very large decline from AEW’s younger male key demographic viewership contributed to AEW’s overall younger key demographic viewership being down 59.6% compared to the prior week’s show. Meltzer also reported that Collision’s 0.13 rating was still above what TNT had been generating on average with other shows for the Saturday night primetime slot but AEW likely will need to hit a consistent rating of 0.20 for Collision to be viewed as a big success for Warner Bros Discovery.
In terms of notable head-to-head competition, the Saturday Night Baseball game drew 1,925,000 viewers on FOX, USFL football game drew 1,157,000 viewers on NBC, UFC Fight Night drew 841,000 viewers on ESPN, and House Hunters drew 771,000 viewers on Home & Garden TV.
