AEW: Willow Nightingale Suffered Injury, Finals Set for 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Cup, TNT Match Set for Battle of the Belts VII

Willow Nightingale Suffered Injury

Prior to the start of Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Regina,Saskatchewan, Canada, AEW owner Tony Khan announced on Twitter that Willow Nightingale was pulled from the show due to her recently suffering an undisclosed injury.

Khan also stated that as a result of her injury, Nightingale’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament match that had been scheduled for the show was also pulled and will now take place at the July 14th Rampage show in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.


Finals Set for the 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament

Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Regina featured two Semfinals matches for this year’s Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.

The first match involved Ricky Starks defeating Powerhouse Hobbs with a spear to advance to this year’s Men’s Finals.

The second match involved CM Punk defeating Samoa Joe for the first time ever in his career by a roll-up after Punk escaped Joe’s Coquina Clutch hold to advance to this year’s Men’s Finals against Ricky Starks.

Following Punk’s victory, Starks and Punk had a face-to-face staredown to hype up their upcoming match at next week’s Collision show in Calgary.


TNT Championship Match Announced for Battle of the Belts VII

Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Regina also featured one match officially announced for the card of next Saturday’s Battle of the Belts VII special.

This match was announced to be a TNT Championship match of Shawn Spears vs. Luchasaurus (c).

Battle of the Belts VII will air live on July 15th on TNT following that night’s Collision show.
