Finals Set for AEW Blind Eliminator Tag Team Tournament
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada featured two Semifinal matches for AEW’s Blind Eliminator Tag Team tournament.
The first tournament match on the show featured Sammy Guevara & Daniel Garcia defeating Darby Allin & Orange Cassidy.
The finish to this match involved Garcia applying a Dragon Tamer to Cassidy at ringside leading to Prince Nana making a surprise appearance and handing Allin’s skateboard to Garcia. Nana told Garcia to hit Cassidy with the skateboard but before he could, Allin grabbed it from the apron and engaged in a tug of war with Garcia and the ref. While the ref was distracted, Swerve Strickland came in from out of nowhere and struck Allin with a running knee strike laying him out. This led to Guevara picking up Allin and hitting him with a GTH for the pinfall victory and him and Garcia advancing to the Finals of the Blind Eliminator Tag Team tournament.

The second tournament match on the show featured MJF & Adam Cole defeating Big Bill & Brian Cage.
The finish to this match involved Bill ripping off MJF’s Better than You Bay Bay shirt causing MJF to “hulk up” and hit a big bodyslam to Bill that generated a huge pop from the crowd. Cage tried to hit a lariat to MJF only for MJF to escape and deliver an eye poke to Cage and give the hot tag to Cole. Cole then gave a series of pump kicks and an eye poke to Cage. Cole & MJF both yelled out for their new double clothesline finisher only for Cage to back away leading to Bill hitting Cole & MJF with a double lariat instead. After some more action, Cole gave a superkick to Cage on the apron leading to MJF hitting a Heat Seeker sending Cage back into the ring for Cole’s The Boom finisher for the pinfall victory and him and MJF advancing to the Finals of the Blind Eliminator Tag Team tournament.
Guevara & Allin and MJF & Cole will face off in the Finals of the AEW Blind Eliminator Tag tournament on the July 19th AEW Collision show in Boston, Massachusetts.
Ruby Soho Advances to Finals of 2023 Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Saskatoon also featured a 2023 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament Semifinals match of Ruby Soho vs. Skye Blue.
The finish to this match involved Toni Storm being caught by the referee tossing Blue into the steel steps but instead of disqualifying Soho, he tossed out both Storm and Saraya from ringside. Soho then slammed Blue’s knee repeatedly into the steps and following some more back-and-forth action, Soho countered Blue’s Code Blue with a Single Leg Crab. Blue was able to reach the ropes to break the hold and responded afterwards with a spinning Full Nelson slam for a near fall. Blue then went up to the top rope for a high flying attack only to get crotched onto the ropes by Soho. Soho then hit a No Future off the ropes for the pinfall victory and advancing to the Finals of this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament.
