As noted before, AEW and Warner Bros Discovery have been in deep talks these past few months regarding a potential new television rights deal. The broadcast status of AEW’s upcoming All In event next month at Wembley Stadium has been part of these on-going talks.
Andrew Zarian reported in a recent episode of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling podcast that his sources stated that AEW’s All In event is currently scheduled to air as a pay-per-view event on Bleacher Report’s B/R streaming service. Zarian also reported that AEW officials have held recent talks regarding the idea of creating a bundle package containing both All In and the following week’s All Out 2023 event.
In regards to WBD’s MAX service, Zarian reported that one person spoken to within MAX stated that the reason why All In will not being airing on the service is due to technical-related issues. This same person reportedly stated that the infrastructure need to be able to live air an AEW event is currently not built in to do so. Zarian reported that MAX officials are still working on improving their infrastructure to eventually achieve their goal of airing sports games and events live on the service.
Zarian also reported that AEW will eventually need to move on from airing their events on Bleacher Report’s B/R service due to that service being too outdated to sustain growth for the company.
