Becky Lynch Comments on Her Goal of Winning the Women’s Money in the Bank Match for Her Career

A recent episode of the WWE After The Bell with Corey Graves podcast featured Becky Lynch as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Lynch’s thoughts about her current career goal of wanting to win the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match.

“Oh my gosh, I have wanted that thing. I have wanted it since it’s inception. I was in the first Money in the Bank, the first Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, where [Carmella] won it, stole it from me. So I’ve been in four, and every single one, I’ve been the last person holding it before I’ve gotten knocked off. There’s something so exciting about that briefcase, and I’ve always wanted to hold it because anything can happen. Anything can happen, and it’s that element of surprise that you always have, and that’s what we wrestle for. That’s what we do this for, to elicit a response from the audience, and there is never a better, bigger response than somebody with their briefcase hits the ring, their music hits, and the place just goes electric because anything can happen. I want that. It has eluded me this long, but now I have gotten myself into a precarious situation.”

Lynch also gave her thoughts about how her “The Man” persona originated at WWE’s Money in the Bank 2018 event.

“The audience, thank god, have been with me. They’ve been with me on this journey. I have kind of a history with the audience and Money in the Bank. They’re kind of what made me The Man. When we look back at Money in the Bank 2018 and it was the upswell from the audience, any time I would climb that ladder, and there was no way that the office could ignore it. That’s really where The Man started, was from the audience responding to me kindly at Money in the Bank, and to reward them, to finally give them their reward and say, ‘Guys, it’s all been worth it’ while I climb that ladder in the O2, in front of my countrymen, in front of the people that I maybe wrestled in front of in little halls in London 20 years ago, it will be worth it. I feel like, yeah, we need it.”

Tiffany Stratton Comments on Origin of Her Prettiest Moonsault Ever Move

A recent episode of the Out of Character with Ryan Satin podcast featured NXT talent Tiffany Stratton. One of the topics discussed included Stratton revealing that Ludwig Kaiser helped out with the creation of her Prettiest Moonsault Ever finisher and the comparisons with Christopher Daniels’ Best Moonsault Ever.

“He (Ludwig Kaiser) definitely did (help GUNTHER get in shape). He is a big help in my career honestly. He has helped me so much. He has helped me understand wrestling and he’s helped me with matches and where to put my skills and he honestly helped me with my finish, like coming up with a finish for me. He’s helped me a lot. He has really helped me a lot with everything.

I definitely knew that Christopher Daniels did it (Best Moonsault Ever) but I didn’t realize how much on social media, people were gonna be like, ‘Oh my God, she’s doing the Christopher Daniels Best Moonsault Ever’ so, I thought I might as well just take the Best Moonsault Ever gimmick and put Prettiest Moonsault Ever in front of it so, yeah.”

Stratton also gave her thoughts about how much of her real-life self is in her current character in WWE.

I would say a lot of it is kind of just my inner thoughts. It’s just me actually saying it. Honestly, if I’m going to be real, I kind of just take what I think and I like to turn it up a bunch of notches. I’m a very irritable person. It’s not a good trait to have, but I guess it is for the character of Tiffany Stratton.”

Sgt. Slaughter on His Issues with Lacey Evans Using His Famous Cobra Clutch Move

A recent episode of Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Slaughter’s issues with Lacey Evans using his famous Cobra Clutch move as her new finisher in WWE.

“I don’t watch it as much as I did because I’m a little upset… I watch more Raw because SmackDown has Lacey on it, and I don’t want… it doesn’t upset me because I know she can’t put a Cobra Clutch on like I do, but it’s just the thought that she’s using a move without…at least I would think the writer or somebody or somebody would call me up and say, ‘Hey, you mind if we use the Cobra Clutch,’ or maybe call it something else. DiBiase brought it in and when I was gone with G.I. Joe, he used it as the Million Dream. She could have maybe come up with another name. But just to call it the Cobra Clutch… I had to end up using the Camel Clutch when I came back because DiBiase was using my hold. So I asked Khosrow, I said, ‘Is it okay if I use your move?’ ‘Oh, yes, it would be an honor for you to use that.’ That’s the way the business was. You respected your talent and your people that you worked with. I would never have used it unless he would have said yes, go ahead and use because he’s the one that made it famous.”
