AEW held a new set of television tapings this evening at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada for this Saturday’s AEW Collision show due to it taking place on the Canada Day holiday.
Prior to the start of the tapings, AEW CEO Tony Khan announced on Twitter that CM Punk will be a special guest commentator for the 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament First Round match between Roderick Strong and Samoa Joe on the show.

Full results from AEW’s Collision tapings spoilers on June 29th:
- AEW World Champion defeated Kip Morris by submission via LeBell Lock in a non-title match. Following the match, MJF gave a promo trashing the people of Hamilton and offered a title shot against anyone local. This led to a local talent coming out but was pushed away by Ethan Page. Page knocked the microphone away from MJF’s hands and gave a promo stating that everyone seems to have forgotten what he is capable in the ring and is going to remind them. MJF agreed to defend his title against Page.
- AEW World Championship – MJF (c) defeated Ethan Page by pinfall via Piledriver.
- 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament First Round match – Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Dustin Rhodes
- Miro defeated Anthony Henry by submission via Game Over.
- Tony Schiavone held an in-ring interview with Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White, Juice Robinson, and The Gunns. During the interview segment, White and The Gunns were upset after Schiavone stated that they would be banned from ringside for Robinson’s match with Ricky Starks on the show. White bashing CM Punk and implied he is coming for the AEW World Championship that Punk had in his “goodie bag” when he made his AEW return. Bullet Club Gold also warned FTR that they were also coming for their AEW World Tag Team Championship. Punk, FTR, and Starks interrupted from the big video screen and stated that they are ready to fight any time.
- 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament First Round match – Ricky Starks defeated Juice Robinson. Following the match, Bullet Club Gold surrounding the ring but their attempted attack was foiled by CM Punk and FTR who ran out. Both groups then confronted each other in a staredown in the ring.
- TBS Championship – Kris Statlander (c) defeated Lady Frost
- 2023 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament First Round match – Samoa Joe defeated Roderick Strong by Ref Stoppage. CM Punk was on guest commentary during this match. The finish to this match involved the match referee calling for the bell after Strong would not tap out to Joe’s Coquina Clutch hold. Following the match, Joe attacked Strong with a chair resulting in Punk rushing to the ring and had a staredown with Joe before Joe walked away. Adam Cole came out afterwards to check on Strong who was taken out on a stretcher.
