WWE RAW Notes: Money in the Bank Qualifier Matches, New WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

Ricochet & Shinsuke Nakamura Qualify for Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

Monday’s WWE RAW show in Albany, New York featured two Men’s Qualifier matches for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match at this July’s Money in the Bank 2023 event in London, England.

The first to officially qualify was Ricochet, who defeated The Miz in the first Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifier match of the night. The finish to the match involved Ricochet countering Miz’s Skull Crushing Finale with a roll-up. Ricochet then hit Miz with a knee strike and Standing Slice Bread #2 to setup his Shooting Star Press for the pinfall victory.

The second to officially qualify was Shinsuke Nakamura, who defeated Bronson Reed in the other Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifier match of the night. The finish to this match involved Nakamura dodging Reed’s Tsunami and landing a running knee strike to Reed. Before he could do a Kinshasa, Reed rolled out of the ring. After some action on the outside, Nakamura went back into the ring while Reed barely beat the 10 count and quickly received a Kinshasa by Nakamura for the pinfall victory.

Crowned New WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions

Monday’s WWE Raw show in Albany also featured a Four-way match for the vacant WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. This match was made following Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez relinquishing their titles earlier this month due to Morgan suffering a shoulder-related injury.

Shayna Baszler & Ronda Rousey defeated Shotzi & Raquel Rodriguez, Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, and Damage CTRL to be crowned the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. This finish to this match involved Shozti going to the top rope to hit a senton onto Rousey only to be stopepd by Baszler. Shotzi then shoved Baszler out of the way and performed a senton only to have Rousey catch her between her legs and applied a Cross Armbar a for the submission title victory.

With the WWE Women’s Tag Team title victory, Rousey become the eight woman in WWE history to achieve a WWE Women’s Triple Crown under their current criteria of a RAW Women’s, SmackDown’s Women’s, and WWE Women’s Tag team Championship victories.
