Eddie Kingston Underwent Successful Hernia Surgery

As noted before, AEW and Ring of Honor talent Eddie Kingston has been dealing with a hernia injury since this past September. During this past Sunday’s ROH TV tapings for Ring of Honor in Orlando, Florida, Kingston stated to the crowd that he would be undergoing surgery this week for his injury.

Kingston provided an update on Instagram stating that he had underwent successful surgery on Tuesday.


Updates on Status of Contracts for Several ROH Talents

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that several notable Ring of Honor talents who have recently worked at ROH shows are currently not under contract with the company.

It was reported that Shane Taylor, Rhett Titus, Cheeseburger, and LSG were stated to not be currently under contract with ROH and instead all of them are still free agents.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

As noted before, Alex Hammerstone has been out of action for Major League Wrestling since this past April due to a torn abductor injury. Hammerstone recently provided an update on Twitter stating that he was recently medically cleared to return to the ring.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Marshall and Ross Von Erich’s contracts with MLW are currently set to expire next month and both are expected to be leaving the company.

Indie wrestler Cara Noir announced on Twitter that he was recently diagnosed with an intra-articular fracture to the cuboid, a chip on the calcaneus, and a chip on the navicular injuries that he suffered during his cage match at PROGRESS Wrestling’s Chapter 151 event this past April.

The National Wrestling Alliance recently announced the updated field of teams for this year’s Crocket Cup tournament, which takes place on June 3-4 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The current field announced are Magnum Muscle (Mims and Dak Draper), Myzteziz Jr. & Octagon Jr., Toxin & Arez, Trevor Murdoch & Mike Knox, The Mortons (Ricky & Kerry Morton), Country Gentlemen (AJ Cazana & Anthony Andrews), La Rebelión (Bestia 666 & Mecha Wolf), The Spectaculars (Rush Freeman & Brady Pierce), Judais & Max the Impaler, Tyrus & Chris Adonis, and S.V.G.S. Prestige Wrestling announced that former WWE NXT UK talent Xia Brookside will be making her official debut for the company at their All Rise event on July 23rd in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

All Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced that Shotaro Ashino suffered a fractured left ulna injury at this past Sunday’s Champion Carnival 2023 Finals event in Tokyo, Japan.

Japanese Deathmatch legend Atsushi Onita announced on Twitter that he underwent successful surgery for abdominal aortic aneurysm on Tuesday.

New Japan Pro Wrestling recently announced that they have postponed their upcoming Oceania Cup 2023 tournament in Australia due to unforeseen schedule-related issues.
