Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Las Vegas, Nevada featured ECW legend Sabu making a surprise appearance and his official AEW debut.
During an in-ring contract signing segment for the Unsanctioned match between Adam Cole and Chris Jericho, Cole gave a heated promo directed towards Jericho and threatened to break several parts of Jericho’s body during their match at AEW’s Double or Nothing 2023 event. Jericho responded stating that he does not take kindly to the crowd calling him a “bitch” after Cole had said that word to him and called Cole a coward for allowing the love of his life to get beaten down last month and promised to knock Cole’s teeth down his throat.
After Cole and Jericho signed the match contract, Jericho threatened to attack Cole saying that there was five of the Jericho Appreciation Society in the ring compared to just only Cole and Strong. Cole responded stating that he knew he might be at a disadvantage and gave a call to someone in Las Vegas who was homicidal, suicidal, genocidal and revealed this person to be Sabu.
Sabu then made his surprise appearance and smacked JAS’ Matt Menard in the face with a chair promoting the rest of the JAS to run out of the ring.
