Three New Matches Added to AEW Double or Nothing 2023
Friday’s AEW Rampage show in Austin, Texas featured three new matches officially added to the card of AEW’s Double or Nothing 2023 event, which takes place on May 28th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The first new match announced was a TBS Championship match of Taya Valkyrie vs. Jade Cargill (c). Following her back-to-back quick victories for her open challenge for her TBS Championship, Mark Sterling announced that Cargill still wanted another challenger resulting in an unnamed jobber coming out. Before this third match could take place, Valkyrie made a surprise appearance and laid out both the jobber and Cargill. Valkyrie then issued a challenge to Cargill for her TBS Championship at AEW’s Double or Nothing 2023 event. AEW commentator Excalibur stated that AEW CEO Tony Khan made the match official and Valkyrie would be allowed to use her Road to Valhalla finisher.

Hardy also stated that if his team wins, then he will get control over Ethan Page’s contract in AEW.
What shape are #TheHardys @MATTHARDYBRAND @JEFFHARDYBRAND & @isiahkassidy going to be in when they face @OfficialEGO, @theaustingunn & @coltengunn at #AEWDoN on Sunday, May 28th LIVE on PPV?!

The third and final new match announced was an Unsanctioned match of Chris Jericho vs. Adam Cole. This match was made following a split-screen promo segment involving Jericho and Cole. Jericho wanted some air time to address Cole’s attack on him during this past Wednesday’s Dynamite show resulting in Cole interrupting Jericho and stating that he will beat him up every week for what he did towards his girlfriend Britt Baker. Jericho responded stating that the legal agreement banning Cole from entering the same venue he’s in was no longer valid and tore up the legal documents to make it official. Jericho also challenged Cole to an Unsanctioned match at Double or Nothing 2023. Cole then proceed to enter the venue to seek out Jeircho and the two brawled before it was broken up by security.
With legal agreements now null and void, @adamcolepro makes a beeline for @IAmJericho!
