Rey Mysterio Comments on His Interest in a Mask vs. Hair Match Against Dominik Mysterio

A recent episode of the Impaulsive podcast featured Rey Mysterio as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Mysterio’s thoughts on being interested in a potential mask vs. hair match against his son Dominick Mysterio in WWE in the future.

“Maybe I put my mask on the line against his hair, which is some lucha culture. If I lose that, I take my mask off. If he loses, he shaves his hair off. That might be interesting.”

On the topic of if Dominick would be open to this match idea, Rey stated:

“He talks a lot of crap. Why not? Back it up.”

Rey also stated that there are no actual plans for this match to take place yet but it is something he wants to pitch to WWE officials.

“No, but I will pitch it out. I’ll challenge him. Straight up.”

Chad Gable Comemnts on Being Hopeful the Men’s Tag Team Showcase Become a New Tradition for WrestleMania

A recent episode of the Out of Character with Ryan Satin podcast had Alpha Academy’s Chad Gable and Otis as the guests. One of the topics discussed included Gable’s thoughts on the idea of the Men’s Tag Team Showcase match becoming a new tradition for WWE’s WrestleMania events going forward.

“I think when that match got announced (men’s tag showcase at WrestleMania), a lot of people thought, oh, they’re just throwing this on the card to get a bunch of guys a match, you know, whatever, fair enough. But, we didn’t look at it that way. I think all of us treated it like, this is our chance, chip on our shoulder. We got a chance to prove something here that not only did we deserve to be on this show from the beginning but if they’re gonna do it and call it a showcase thing, that’s exactly what we’re gonna give ‘em and don’t be surprised if going forward, this becomes a tradition where they do this showcase thing because we showed them what we can do when they give us an opportunity like that.”

I started reading all the stuff, people were calling me, so I wrote Adam [Edge], ‘Do you know this started?’ He made a joke, ‘these writers think they know everything.’ I laughed. I tried to tell a guy to tell them, ‘No, I wasn’t doing it,’ but he still ran the story anyway. He goes, ‘To be fair, it was pitched, it just never happened.’ It was pitched, but I never heard about it. I didn’t know anything about it. They never reached out to me. I guess, Edge is always pitching something for me. I think pitched SummerSlam for me, but it got shot down.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
