Sunday’s Rebellion 2023 event for Impact Wrestling in Toronto, Canada featured former National Wrestling Alliance talent Nick Aldis making his surprise return to Impact.
Prior to the start of the Impact World Championship match, Impact announcers Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt announcing that there would be a guest commentator for the upcoming match. This person was revealed to be Aldis making his surprise return to the company. During his greeting with Hannifan and Rehwoldt, Aldis stated that he was happy to be back in Imapct and also revealed that he had signed an official contract with Impact.

Prior to his return, Aldis had worked in Impact under the ring name of Magnus from November of 2008 to June of 2015 and from January to July of 2017. Aldis most recently worked in the NWA from 2017 to November of 2021.
