As noted before, former WWE wrestler Ted DiBiase Jr. was recently charged with several criminal charges by the United States Department of Justice over his involvement in embezzling welfare funds as part of a larger welfare scandal in the State of Mississippi.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that DiBiase Jr. appeared before court this past Thursday and pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him based on recent court records.
In a separate report, Johnson reported that the U.S. government is alleding that DiBiase Jr. had used two different companies, Priceless Ventures LLC and Familiae Orientem LLC, to receive money from “five sham contracts.” These two companies and “sham contracts” are allegedly to have been used by DiBiase Jr. to defraud and steal federal funds from the Mississippi Department of Human Resources, TEFAP, TANF and other federal programs.
The U.S. government is also alleging that DiBiase Jr. used this money to put a down payment on the purchase of a new house, a boat, a vehicle, and other expenditures, which were all illegal usages of the money. DiBiase Jr. is also allegedly to have been paid in full upfront for all of his “scam contracts” and never followed through with any of the work required as terms of those deals.
DiBiase Jr. is currently facing the possibility of a very lengthy prison sentence if convicted of the charges against him.
WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase recently commented in a now deleted post on Twitter over his son’s arrest and charges against him for his involvement in the Mississippi welfare scandal. DiBiase himself is also currently facing an investigation and lawsuit over his own involvement in the scandal as well.
