Major League Wrestling reportedly recently released Real1, former Enzo Amore in WWE and nZo in the indies, from the company, according to the Wrestling Observer.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that MLW had recently released Real1 and removed his page from their official roster on their website for reasons that were not initially known.
Fightful Select reported that their sources confirmed that Real1 was indeed released from the company. Those spoken to within MLW stated that MLW officials became upset at Real1 due him declining much their upcoming creative plans for him. MLW officials reportedly were also upset that Real1 was not interested in working with some of their top talent in the company. Real1 reportedly also had issues backstage over him being planned to put over other talent at MLW’s upcoming events. It was reported that prior to his release, Real1 had been under a per appearance type deal with the company.
Real1 confirmed on Twitter that he had been released from the company and also threatened legal action over his release claiming that he was never under an actual contract and instead was only under a handshake agreement. Real1 also thanked the company for the time he spent there in a potential sarcastic way.

Prior to his release, Real1 had been scheduled to compete in a match against Willie Mack at MLW’s War Chamber 2023 on April 6th in New York City, New York. Real1 had also been scheduled to compete in a match against Alex Hammerstone for the MLW World Heavyweight Championship at MLW’s Battle Riot V event on April 8th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
