We are off and running with a huge match between 2 former ROH Tv Champions who were integral to ROH in the late Sinclair era. Cobb remains a scary looking guy. Code of Honor adhered to and we get a lock up. Williams actually wrestles Cobb to the mat and scores a 1 count. Single leg takedown by Williams, Cobb looks a little frustrated and they shove each other. Headlock by Hot Sauce and Cobb rag dolls him to the mat. Slam by Cobb for 2. They trade forearms. Thrust by Cobb to the throat. Big suplex by Cobb, he makes it look easy. Williams blocks a standing moonsault and he applies an armbar. Saito suplex by Williams. Williams misses a charge but nails a back elbow. Kick by Williams into a DDT for 2. Back elbow by Cobb. Cobb with a German suplex. Cobb nails Tour of the Islands and scores the pin.

Code of honor adhered to and they lockup. Shoulder blocks. Mack is not a guy I’d engage with in something like this to test him. Mack misses a clothesline and Takeshita nails a flying clothesline, MAck to the floor. On the floor, Mack meets him with a lariat of his own. Back in the ring, it’s Mack with a clothesline and a wristlock takeover. Mack with a cross body. Takeshita with a rana off the 2nd rope, MAck bails. Takeshita with a cannonball over the top. Takeshita throws Mack back in but Mack immediately hits a cannonball of his own. In the ring, Mack drives the knee into the upper back of Takeshita and Mack with a rear chinlock. Takeshita to his feet but MAck with a clothesline. Takeshita a forearm and Mack with a Shining Wizard. Mack with a Samoan Drop. Kip up by Mack. Standing moonsault by Mack for 2.

Code of Honor adhered to. USC is ROCKING. Lockup, they immediately exchange mat holds. Leg sweep by Komander. Vikingo with a takedown and he tries a surfboard. He nails it but Komander escapes. Double leg by Vikingo, he nails forearms in a ground and pound. I’m even going to try to describe what just happened. Matrix by Komander, Vikingo lands on his feet. rana by Vikingo. On the floor , they reverse tombstones, no one hits one. Tope con hilo by Komander. Komander brings out a table. On the ramp, Komander hits a 450. He throws Vikingo back in and Vikingo gets out of the way of a moonsault. Rana off of what looked like a 720 by Vikingo. I apologize, folks, I’m doing my best to keep up. Komander to the top. Vikingo gets his feet up on a splash attempt. Rana by Vikingo for 2. Rock bottom by Vikingo. Powerbomb by Komander off a splash attempt by Vikingo. Vikingo sends Komander tot he floor. Vikingo hits a hip attack off a reverse 360. Inside out corkscrew by Vikingo for 2.

They trade chops on the apron. Kick by Komander. Komander with a destroyer on the apron. Good luck following this insanity. No big deal, Komander just walks the length of the ropes and nails a 450 to the floor. Shooting star by Komander for 2. Vikingo knocks Komander off the ropes. Vikingo nails a destroyer while Komander in standing on the top rope. 630 on a table by Vikingo. The table did not break. Komander looks to be in pain.

Holy crap this is nuts.

Vikingo misses a 630. Corkscrew by Komander for 2! Swing out slam by Vikingo. Double knees by Vikingo. 630 senton by Vikingo and he scores the pin.

We brawl as soon as the Code of honor is done. The challengers with dual splashes to the floor. Metalik gets caught by Leona and powerslammed. Kaun gets tagged in and nails kicks. Cage gets kicked, Metalik with a back elbow. Fox gets tagged in and nails 2 elbows and a cutter. A second cutter by Fox. Fox nails an interfering Kaun with a cutter and Fox splashes him. The challengers with dives to the floor. Fox with a swan dive for 2 on Cage. Catches catches block buster attempt by Fox and slams him to the mat. Christian and Leona tag in and things are now completely out of hand.

Metalik is legal. He splashes Leona and now it’s all 6 fighting again. Kaun with a backbreaker on the top turnbuckle to Christian. Leona with a senton on the apron. Metalik scores a 2 off of a frog splash, I don;t even know if he’s legal. Cage powerbombs Metalik.

Metalik tries a splash on Leona but he gets powerslammed. Destroyer by Blake to Cage. Leona attacks Blake. Face drop by the Embassy. Metalik rolls up Cage for 2. Cage nails a Dr. Bomb on Metalik for the pin.

Code of Honor adhered to. Athena misses a dropkick but nails a headlock take over. Arm drag by Sakazaki. Athena with a takedown. Dropkick by Sakazaki into a rana, Athena bails. Cannon ball to the outside connects by Sakazaki. Tackle by Sakazaki into a roundhouse kick. Sakazaki barely connects on a dropkick. Forearm by Sakazaki. Suplex by Athena, she might have hit her head, the ref checks on her. Elbow by Athena into a driver. Athena poses to the crowd and scores a 2. Sakazaki with a jaw breaker and a roundhouse kick into a lariat for 2.

Sakazaki with a knee in the corner. Athena blocks a rana and nails a powerbomb, 3x. Athena scores a 2. Back breaker dropkick combo by Athena for 2. Dropkick by the champion, Sakazaki rolls to the floor.

Athena traps the leg and suplexes Sakazaki on the floor. Athena misses a dropkick against the rail. Slam by Sakazaki on the floor. Sakazaki sends the champion into the floor. Splash by the challenger, she is finally in control. Splash off the top for 2 by Sakazaki. Double chop by Athena. They trade forearms. Athena with an uppercut for 2, Sakazaki made the ropes.Athena to the ropes. Sakazaki knocks her down and nails a superplex. Athena with the Eclipse as Sakazaki is climbing the ropes for the pin. She mocks the challenger and kicks her from the ring.

Samoa Joe (c) vs. Mark Briscoe

Code of Honor adhered to. Joe bails, time is on his side. Lockup, we have a stalemate. Lockup, Briscoe with a chop, kick to the leg by Joe. Redneck Kung Fu by Mark, elbows by the champion.. BIG chop by Joe, Mark fires back. We got an old fashioned hoss fight. KArate chop by Briscoe. Spicolli Driver by Mark, Joe bails. On the floor its a big belly to belly by Joe. Kick by Joe and he throws MArk into the ring. Jabs by Joe. Mark strikes back but a HUGE clothesline by Joe.

Joe fires forearms to the neck. Kicks by the champion. Suplex by Joe he scores a 2 count. Jabs by Joe, Mark gets back to his feet. MArk with forearms. Enziguri by Joe, Mark rolls out. Mark gets back in but Joe throws him out and nails a big tope. Remember when Vince though Joe had no value anymore? Mark gets the edge and nails a tope off of a chair. Mark kisses one of his kids and brings out a table. Joe sends Mark into the post. Chop by Mark, Joe and Mark trade blows.

I LOVE THIS!

Headbutt by Joe. Forearm by Joe both men are down. Mark to his feet first. Uranage by Mark for 2. Joe blocks a Jay Driller and nails a powerslam for 2. Joe with an STF, he has it locked in deep. Mark makes the ropes. Belly to back by Joe into a lariat for 2.

Mark blocks a muscle buster and nails a dropkick. Froggy Bow for 2 by Mark! This match is clearly the emotional highlight. Joe with a choke. Mark is fading. Sleeper suplex by Joe, he maintains the choke and the ref calls for the bell.

Daniel Garcia vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

No code of honor. Lockup, clean break. Garcia mocks him. Lockup, go behind by Tanahashi. Garcia grabs him and nails a throat thrust. Hair pull by Garcia. Back elbow into a cross body by Tanahashi. Tanahashi with air guitar. Garcia to the floor and Tanahashi follows him and nails a clothesline. Drop toe hold into the steps by Garcia. Dragon screw by Garcia. Garcia poses to the crowd and kicks Tanahashi as he returns to the ring. Surf Board by Garcia, instead be just stomps Tanahashi’s knees into the mat. Garcia goes to work on Tanahashi’s right knee. Elbow to the knee by Garcia, Tanahashi desperately makes the rope. Garcia with kicks in the corner. Garcia mocks Tanahashi.

They trade forearms in the center. Tanahashi puts Garcia down with a clothesline. Slam by Tanahashi. Cannon ball by Tanahashi for 2. Garcia with a dropkick to the knee into a famouser for 2. They trade forearms again and then kicks. Garcia with a 2 count after a takedown. Tanahashi with a dragon screw. Tanahashi with a cloverleaf, Garcia makes the rope. Garcia with a cutter to the knee into a German Suplex. Knee strike for 2 by Garcia. Tanahashi blocks a piledriver and nails a neck breaker. Sling blade for 2 by Tanahashi. Tanahashi to the top and nails a frog splash for the pin.

Mike Bennett & Matt Taven vs. Aussie Open vs The Lucha Bros vs. Dralístico & Rush vs. Top Flight

I’d like to say I can keep up but this has to be a bullet point report:

  • They immediately scramble for ladders as La Faccion Ingobernobles and the Kingdom seen to have an uneasy alliance.
  • Bennett and Taven try to nail Top Flight with a ladder but tge brothers evade them,
  • Fenix with a facedrop to Dralístico.
  • Rush with a dropkick to someone on a ladder.
  • LFI and Aussie Open slug it out. Aussie open with cutters on Rush.
  • The Lucha Bros stop any momentum Aussie Open had.
  • Taven with a corner splash to Davis
  • Code Red onto the ladder by the Lucha Bros on Aussie Open
  • Fenix with a superkick to Fletcher
  • LFI is alone in the ring. I’m sorry I’m not keeping up. This is insanity.
  • Taven nails a tope to Dralístico
  • On the outside Rush tries to tear away at Penta’s mask
  • Aussie Open goes after the biggest ladder, they nail the Kingdom with pile drivers on the ramp
  • Aussie Open control the ladders. Bennett is busted wide open.Lucha Bros stop Aussie Open. Rush with a destroyer to Penta
  • Bennett and Rush square off and trade forearms. Now it’s chops. Rush wins the exchange but Taven with a disaster kick to save his partner
  • Trust me, you want to see this
  • Dante and Fenix slug it out on the ladder LFI breaks it up. Top flight with a Van Daminator to Rush.
  • Aussie Open pulls Top Flight off the ladder. AO with superkicks to Penta.
  • Penta gets tossed into a ladder by Aussie Open.
  • Dante Martin kicks Aussie Open off the ladders.
  • Taven tries to stop Dante but he eats a Northern Light off the ladder
  • Dante with a Sunset bomb to Bennett off the ladder
  • Aussie Open nails the Correalis to Darius, I think it was Darius.
  • Darius eats a spine buster on a bridged ladder.
  • Dralístico nails a rana off the apron to Dante.
  • Taven splashes Dralístico through a ladder
  • Davis gets suplexed through a ladder.
  • Dante and Fenix slug it out. Now it’s Penta and Dante on the ladder
  • Penta with a destroyer off the ladder through 2 tables at ringside to Darius Martin
  • Bennett gets kicks off the ladder by Fenix and Fenix grabs the belts the top.

Mark Briscoe celebrates with the new champions. FTR also comes out. Dante Martin broke his leg on the Canadian Destroyer ladder spot to the outside. Heal up young man! Much respect.

Code of Honor adhered to. Kicks by Yuta. Go behind by Shibata into an armbar for 2. Tie up by Shibata into a chinlock. Headlock takeover by Shibata. They grapple into the ropes, no break called by the ref. Greco Roman knuckle lock into a go behind ny Shibata. Double wristlock by the challenger into a head scissor. Drop toe hold into a seat belt by Yuta. Fireman carry by Shibata. Figure 4 by Shibata. Shibata bears down. Yuta tries ti break it but has to go to the rope. He doesn;t make it.

5 minutes down.

Yuta makes the ropes. That’s 1. Shibata with elbow strikes and scores a 2. Snap mare into a leg choke. Yuta with a bridge for 1. High wristlock by Yuta. Knee drop by Yuta. Arm wrench by the champion. Escape by Shibata they exchange chops. Kicks by Shibata. Elbow by Yuta. Yuta with a closed fist for his warning, Suplex by Yuta for 2. Kicks by Yuta into a chop exchange.

10 minutes have passed.

Kicks by Shibata in the corner. Dropkick in the corner by Shibata. Suplex by Shibata for 2. Rear chinlock by the challenger. Suplex by Shibata for 2. The ref declares that Yuta used his 2nd rope break. Kicks by Shibata. Yuta spits on Shibata and nails a dropkick for 2. KicknbyShibata he nails a choke. PK by Shibata and he scores the pin

ROH World Championship
Claudio Castagnoli (c) vs. Eddie Kingston

Kingston tackled Castagnoli to start, laying in the strikes to start. Castagnoli sent Kingston out of the ring with a set of uppercuts. Kingston grabbed a chair, but let the referee take it out of the ring. Castagnoli hit a side suplex, but Kingston came back with chops and a headlock. Kingston went after Castagnoli’s knee, sending him into a split. Castagnoli bailed to the floor to stop the attack. Kingston went for a dive, but Castagnoli cut him off with an uppercut in the ropes.

Kingston and Castagnoli brawled in the ropes, with Castagnoli tying Kingston up and hitting open hand slaps to Kingston. He dragged Kingston over the second rope to the floor with a suplex. Castagnoli hit a double stomp to Kingston before following it with a diving headbutt for a nearfall. Kingston and Castagnoli exchanged palm strikes, with Castagnoli cutting it off to spin Kingston with the Giant Swing. He only got three rotations, as Kingston’s work on the knee forced Castagnoli to stop.

Castagnoli hit a running uppercut in the corner and sent Kingston to the top rope. Kingston threw more palm strikes, with Castagnoli answering with a dropkick to Kingston seated on the top rope. Castagnoli went to the top and brought Kingston with him before bringing him down with a Superplex that scored a nearfall. Castagnoli laid in the boots before double stomping Kingston in the face, but Kingston cut off a cover attempt by clawing Castagnoli in the face.

Kingston hit an enzuigiri that sent Castagnoli to the floor, and quickly followed with a dive. Kingston hit an exploder suplex on the floor and rolled back in the ring. Castagnoli followed and was met with a bulldog off the second rope for a nearfall. Kingston tried for a side suplex, but Castagnoli didn’t go and clubbed at him with strikes. Castagnoli went for a big uppercut, but Kingston hooked him in the Stretch Plum.

Castagnoli got to the ropes, so Kingston hit the Backdrop Driver for a nearfall. Castagnoli blasted Kingston with elbows and hit a German suplex. We had a forearm battle. Kingston had a backfist blocked, and Castagnoli hit a heavy lariat for a nearfall. Castagnoli laid in the knees to Kingston’s midsection, setting up the Ricola Bomb. But Kingston slipped out and hit the Backfist for a tight nearfall.

Castagnoli rolled to the apron, where Kingston tried to hit an Exploder off the apron. But Castagnoli got Kingston in a gutwrench and suplexed him off of the apron to the floor. Castagnoli grabbed the barricade and threw it into Kingston’s back multiple times. Castagnoli dumped Kingston’s limp body into the ring and called for the running uppercut. He hit it clean, but Kingston kicked out at two. Castagnoli talked trash and slapped Kingston, but Kingston answered back with two Backfists.

Castagnoli hit the Neutralizer, but Kingston kicked out at one. Castagnoli rebounded with a massive uppercut, but Kingston kicked out again. Castagnoli laid in heavy uppercuts and went for the Ricola Bomb, but Kingston rolled through into a pin. Castagnoli rolled into a pin of his own to steal the win and retain the title.

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli

After the match, Wheeler Yuta came to the ring to help Castagnoli up. They cornered Kingston before Katsuyori Shibata made his way to the ring to even the odds. They had a tense staredown before Castagnoli and Yuta left the ring. Kingston grabbed the mic and swore a lot before closing the show by saying that he wasn’t going anywhere, and that he would still be coming for Castagnoli and the title.
