As noted before, Mickie James recently suffered an unknown injury and was pulled from tonight’s Impact Wrestling Sacrifice 2023 event in Windsor, Canada as a result.
During a backstage sitdown interview segment on the show, Mickie James revealed that she had recently suffered a rib injury and will be out of action for some time.
James also confirmed that she will no longer be competing at Impact and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Multiverse United event next week in Los Angeles, California but promised to make an appearance at Impact’s Rebellion 2023 event on April 16th.
Impact Director of Authority Santino Marella announced that the scheduled women’s match at Multiverse United will now have the stipulation of the winner facing off against Jordynne Grace for the Impact Knockouts World Championship. Marella also announced that if James is medically cleared in time, then the Knockouts World title match at Rebellion 2023 will be a Triple Threat instead with James defending her title.
