AEW: Matt Jackson on Off-Limits Stuff for All Access, Vickie Guerrero on July Departure, All Access Ratings

Matt Jackson Comments on Some Stuff Being Off-Limits for AEW All Access

The Ringer held a recent interview with The Young Bucks’ Matt and Nick Jackson. One of the topics discussed included Matt Jackson’s thoughts on certain stuff and topics being off-limits by AEW for their new behind-the-scenes All Access series.

“That’s what sucks about wrestling now, there is very little mystique. All Access was revealing in a way where they wanted to come to our homes and do all this stuff. We had to tell them, ‘Hey, some stuff’s off-limits.’

In the beginning, it wasn’t like that. There still were hecklers and there still are people on wrestling forums, but all of a sudden now you can become famous overnight, and with that fame comes a lot of hate and criticism. … And that’s just the way the social media world works now, and that can be tough for a young kid. I really feel bad, and I sympathize, for those guys who don’t know what it’s like. … We’re going out there in our human bodies, and we have real human emotions and feelings. And when people say things about your real person, like, ‘Oh, I don’t like these guys as [executive vice presidents of AEW]’ or ‘I don’t like these guys in this certain way,’ and they don’t really know the full story, of course you’re a human being and it’s going to hurt your feelings.”

Vickie Guerrero on Upcoming AEW Departure This July

As noted before, Vickie Guerrero is currently expected to be leaving AEW once her current contract expires this July.

Denise Salcedo held a recent interview with Guerrero. One of the topics discussed included Guerrero’s thoughts on her upcoming departure from AEW this July.

“I am doing other projects. With me, having a decision to… after July, I’ll be leaving AEW, which is publicly known. But I have some great projects. I have a TV project that’s coming out that I can’t say yet because it’s not publicly been announced. It’s gonna be really exciting. I work with HSN, I’m an influencer. I’m gonna start going live with them next month, which I’m really excited about. To earn commission and to get paid, how great is that? To go shopping, I have shopping at my fingertips. That’s a woman’s dream. I’m writing my book, and so that’s another project that we’re doing. So it’s just a lot of cool side hustle things that everyone will start going, and Denise, I’ll have you back on to be on your show so that I can announce properly what projects we’ll be doing after July.”

Guerrero also stated that while she enjoyed her time in AEW, the reason why she has decided to leave was due to her not being able to do more with her character than she would have liked to do in the company.

“AEW’s been good with me. I loved my time there. I was there for three years. I just want more in life. My character wasn’t progressed for the three years, and opportunities weren’t given. I just felt like, for me, as a professional decision, I needed to go somewhere else where I’m able to be the character that I want to be and to be appreciated for the work that I can present inside the ring. Even though I’m gonna miss managing Nyla and Marina, three years is good. I tried it, I bought the t-shirt, I get to say I was there, and I’m ready to move on and bet on myself. So with the way doors have opened, I’m very grateful, and I know that AEW’s gonna be very successful, and they’re gonna do great stuff in the future. I just want to take a different road.”
