Charlotte Flair Comments on Her Recent WWE Return & SmackDown Women’s Title Win

A recent episode of the Out of Character with Ryan Satin podcast featured Charlotte Flair as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Flair’s thoughts on when she first learned of the plans for her recent return to WWE.

“Right around Christmas. I really wanted to come back at Survivor Series, but I had just finished getting my last stitches out. So he was like, ‘don’t push it.’ I got the greenlight the week of New Year’s.”

Flair also gave her thoughts about when she was first told that she would be winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship as part of her recent return to the company.

“I didn’t find out I was winning the title until I got there. I didn’t have gear with me. My amazing cleaning lady brought me my gear. I should have known better. I’m coming to a wrestling show, I just brought my outfit. I thought it was just going to be a walkout surprise because I had been gone for so long, I really didn’t need to be any major fireworks, but when I got there they were like, ‘You need your gear.’ I got the call at maybe 5ish that I needed gear, right before I got to the arena. She got to the arena around 7, 7:15.”

Nikkita Lyons Injury Status Update

As noted before, NXT talent Nikkita Lyons recently suffered a torn ACL and meniscus injury.

Lyons recently provided an update on Twitter stating that she underwent successful surgery on her knee this past Tuesday.

2K Games recently released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming WWE 2K23 video game featuring the new WarGames match mode for the game.

A new set of episodes for television series Wheel of Fortune featuring WWE talent as competitors were filmed this week in Los Angeles, California, according to PWInsider. Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Liv Morgan, Bayley, Bianca Belair, Natalya, Big E, Austin Theory, Nikki Cross, Bayley, Sonya Deville, and The New Day were involved in these tapings. Johnson reported that these upcoming episodes are currently scheduled to air during WrestleMania 39 week.
