AEW Releases New Teaser Video for Dynamite’s Upcoming New Changes

As noted before, AEW will be debuting new visual looks for their AEW Dynamite shows starting with this Wednesday’s show in Seattle, Washington.

AEW recently released a new teaser video showcasing the new intro video for their weekly Dynamite shows. This new video revealed that Dynamite will still feature the “Light the Fuse” theme song that has been used since Dynamite’s debut in October of 2019.

In regards to the upcoming new changes, Fightful Select reported that while Dynamite will be keeping the “Light the Fuse” theme song, it will be a “slight remix” of the current song by band No One Hero. Those same sources reportedly also stated that while there will be new set and production changes, other things related to in-ring wrestling, wrestlers, and the broadcast team will remain unchanged.

It was also reported that AEW’s new Senior Vice President & Co-Executive Producer Mike Mansury will officially begin his full-time duties for the company starting with this week’s show. Mansury reportedly had the approach that there was plenty of work that could be done but that it would be good work to help improve AEW’s product.

Tony Schiavone Comments on Future of His Commentary Career

A recent episode of the What Happened When with Tony Schiavone podcast featured co-host Tony Schiavone clarifying recent comments about him being near the end of his wrestling commentary career.

“Never been better in my life, thank you for asking. I‘m saying that because Adam Demois, I talked to him yesterday with our bonus podcast, and he said, ‘So you’re retiring, huh?’ I went, ‘What the fuck are you talking about?’ Apparently, one day I was tired, and I was like, ‘Man, I’m just tired. Maybe I’ll just do a podcast with you and do video games the rest of my life. Well that became a clickbait [story].

I said, ‘I know you and your readers hate me, that’s fine. But I have no plans to step away from announcing.’ I’m the luckiest guy in the world, so why would I leave? Sure, I get tired. I stay up all night on Tuesday night and I get no sleep on Wednesday night, and I end up sleeping most of the day on Tuesday until the late afternoon, when we gotta do some work to her Rampage out the door. So I’m doing great.”

In a previous episode, Schiavone had stated that he was starting to feel too old to continue working in wrestling, which became the origin of the rumors of him planning to retire in a few years.

“I ain’t got many more years left in this business. I don’t. It’s a young man’s business, and at the age of 65, I realized it. It’s a young man’s business. The day I turned 40, I needed glasses that day. It was like, ‘What the fuck?’ I woke up that day, and I would try to read something. I’m like, ‘Man, this is out of focus.’ So the day I turned 65, I just woke up tired. I’ve been tired ever since then. I’m just tired. So I just think that life is on the way downhill right now.”
