WWE: Matt Riddle Failed Drug Test, Kylie Rae Worked at Main Event Tapings, 2023 UK Tour Announced

Matt Riddle Reportedly Failed Drug Test & Sent to Rehab Over Second Failed Test

As noted before, Matt Riddle is currently out of action for WWE following a storyline injury at the hands of Solo Sikoa on the December 5th WWE RAW show.

Bodyslam.net’s Cassidy Haynes reported that his sources stated that the real reason for Riddle’s current absence is due to Riddle had recently failed a drug test in WWE. Those same sources reportedly also stated that this was Riddle’s second failed drug test since this past summer with his first failed test being the reason why his match against Seth Rollins had been moved off this past July’s SummerSlam 2022 event at the time.

Following his first failed drug test, Riddle reportedly was informed by WWE officials that a second failed test would result in him either being sent to rehab or fired as punishment. This reportedly was the same situation Jeff Hardy faced prior to his departure from WWE last year.

Haynes reported that the current belief within the company is that Riddle has already or will soon enter rehab treatment that will likely last for around thirty days and he would need to be finished in time for his scheduled return in six weeks.

In regards to the cause of Riddle’s failed drug test, Cassidy reportedly that the drug substance that triggered the failure is currently not known.

Kylie Rae Makes Official WWE Debut at Main Event Tapings & New Ring Name

As noted before, former AEW and Impact Wrestling talent Kylie Rae was among the indie wrestlers invited by WWE for tryouts at their Performance Center this past week.

Rae made her official debut for WWE at their tapings for this week’s episode of Main Event, which took place prior to the start of Monday’s RAW show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Rae competed under the ring name of Briana Ray and worked in a singles match against Dana Brooke, which was won by Brooke.
