As noted before, indies wrestler Chris Dickinson filed a lawsuit this past July against indie wrestler Christina Von Eerie and one other woman over allegations that they had defamed his name and career. Earlier this year, both Von Eerie and the other woman had accused Dickinson of committing past domestic abuse against them.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey officially dismissed Dickinson’s lawsuit on December 19th based on recent court records.
Judge Susan D. Wigenton reportedly sided with Von Eerie and McKaila Coulter over their claims that Dickinson’s lawsuit should be dismissed due to New Jersey, where Dickinson filed his lawsuit, did not have any legal jurisdiction to hear the case since Dickinson currently lives in New York. Both women had also claimed that none of their comments on social media referenced any of Dickinson’s alleged incidents taking place in New Jersey.
The presiding judge also agreed with a filing from another judge over if New Jersey had any jurisdiction over the case. This separate judge stated that Dickinson did not provide enough evidence to prove the state was the proper venue for the lawsuit and believed that the lawsuit should be dismissed.
