Sting Reveals He Underwent Knee Surgery Several Weeks Ago

A recent episode of the 105.3 The FAN’s The K&C Masterpiece radio show had Sting as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Sting revealing that he had underwent surgery for his knee several weeks ago.

“I just had surgery, six or seven weeks ago now, basically just a clean out on my very old knees. I’ve seen those that went through the physical therapy process with flying colors, did what they were supposed to do, and worked through the pain versus those who did not, and those who did not, they never recover, the game never comes back to them. I know that is of the utmost importance. For me, I had to do things differently in the ring, I had to prepare differently, train differently, think differently in the ring and come up with more innovative ways to accomplish my goal.”

More on AEW’s Hiring of Former WWE VP of Global TV Production

As noted before, AEW recently hired former WWE Vice President of Global Television Production Michael Mansury to a Senior Vice President & Co-Executive Producer position in the company.

Fightful Select reported that their sources within WWE stated that while Mansury had been viewed as the potential successor of Kevin Dunn, his chances at progressing any higher in the company was almost nonexistent unless Dunn stepped aside. Those spoken to reportedly also stated that while Paul “Triple H” Levesque was keen on Mansury’s work during his time in the company, they believed Mansury would not return unless he could take over Dunn’s spot.

Talent and staff spoken to within AEW and WWE reportedly were happy over AEW’s recent hiring of Mansury. Those spoken to stated that they believe this hiring will go a long way in helping improve AEW’s content and production. One WWE source spoken to reportedly stated that Mansury was a good hire for AEW since he is more in touch with AEW’s demographic and can significantly increase the level of AEW’s production. Another WWE source who has been heavily critical of AEW reportedly stated that they viewed Mansury as AEW’s biggest hire of this year.
