More on Miro’s Current Absence from AEW
As noted before, Miro has been absent from AEW since this past September. The reason for Miro’s absence is believed to be due AEW’s lack of creative plans for him at the moment.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Fightful Select’s report about Miro’s absence is only partially true. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Miro’s absence not being related to any health or injury issues is true but AEW not having any real creative plans for him is not true.
AEW officials reportedly presented ideas for Miro this past September that would have involved a storyline angle running through this past November’s Full Gear 2022 event. Miro reportedly rejected the ideas given to him which led to AEW officials making the decision to keep him off television for the time being while they wait for him to agree to creative plans.
In regards to a potential return, Meltzer reported that Miro is currently expected to make his return soon and both sides are still engaged in talks.
Jeff Hardy Status Update
As noted before, Jeff Hardy was arrested this past June in Volusia County, Florida following a drunk driving incident. Hardy has been out of action for AEW since that time due to his current suspension over his DUI arrest.
A recent episode of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast featured co-host Matt Hardy providing an update on the status of his brother Jeff.
“He’s basically been doing the same thing he’s been doing. He’s doing exactly what he needs to be doing to get where he needs to be in life. More or less, we’ve just got to get these legal issues behind him before we move forward, so that’s kind of where we’re at with Jeff, and we’re hoping that happens sooner rather than later.”

Thunder Rosa Injury Status Update
As noted before, Thunder Rosa has been out of action for AEW since this past September due to her suffering a spinal-related injury.
In a recent vlog, Rosa provided an injury update stating that her recovery is going on really well.
“The recovery is going really well. This week I was just able to do squats with a two-pound dumbbell. I haven’t done any lifting for the last four or five months so this is huge.
Actually, two weeks ago I was able to do a 5k, which I walked half of it. I just want to say that because I’m not allowed to run, I can jog but that’s pretty much it. So those are big milestones for me.
I have not been able to be in the ring yet so we’re working on that.”
In regards to a potential return date, Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Rosa has been hopeful of a potential return from injury by February of 2023.
