WWE: Shinsuke Nakamura on Great Muta Match, Saudi Arabia on Alert for Terror Attack, RAW Notes

Shinsuke Nakamura Comments on WWE & NOAH’s Negotiations for His Match Against Great Muta

As noted before, Pro Wrestling NOAH recently announced that WWE’s Shinsuke Nakamura will be making an appearance for the company at their The New Year 2023 event on January 1, 2023 in Tokyo, Japan. It was announced that Nakamura will be facing off against the Great Muta in a singles match at the event as part of Muta’s on-going retirement tour.

Tokyo Sports held a recent interview with Nakamura. One of the topics discussed included Nakamura’s thoughts on his return to NOAH after a nine year absence and his upcoming match against Muta.

“There were people in WWE who pushed me. It’s nothing short of a miracle. Of course, I wanted to do it. It was an area that no one had ever stepped into, or rather, it opened a door that no one had been able to pry open. Ha ha ha…It’s a real ‘Fоrbidden Dооr

It was reported that NOAH officials had plans for Nakamura to be one of Muta’s opponents after Muta made the official announcement of his retirement tour this past June.

It was also reported that initial negotiations between NOAH and WWE for this match fell apart due to Vince McMahon not being interested in the idea. Following McMahon’s retirement, NOAH officials reportedly contacted WWE again and were successful in their negotiations for this match with WWE’s new leadership regime.

Saudi Arabia Reportedly Concerned Over Potential Terrorist Attack Soon

Saudi Arabia reportedly is currently expecting a potential terrorist attack on their country to take place very soon, according to the Wall Street Journal.

It was reported that Saudi officials recently shared intelligence with United States officials over knowledge of an “imminent attack” from Iran. This intel reportedly stated that attacks are current being planned to hit multiple “targets in the Kingdom.”

It was reported that this warning has led to Saudi Arabia and its neighboring countries to “raise the level of alert for their military forces.”

WWE is currently scheduled to hold their Crown Jewel 2022 event in Riyadh on November 5th starting at 12:00PM EST.

WWE RAW News & Notes

WWE reportedly made several changes to their original plans for Monday’s Halloween themed RAW show in Dallas, Texas, according to Fightful Select.

It was reported that one of the plans scrapped included a big Halloween Party segment that would have involved a food fight with pumpkin pies to continue the tradition of Halloween themed parties in WWE ending in a brawl with food. WWE reportedly had also planned to use a lot of extras for this segment who ended up being unused for the show.
