More on Bodhi Hayward’s WWE Release

As noted before, WWE released five talents from their NXT brand this past Tuesday. Among those released included Chase University’s Bodhi Hayward.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that prior to his release, Hayward had been dealing with backstage heat over his lack of attendance for NXT shows and WWE officials being of the view that he was injury prone due to him getting hurt a lot.

One person spoken to stated that another reason for his release was due to WWE officials had felt he was not showing enough progress on his development and had a habit of not showing up on time.

Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that all of the talent cuts made this past weekend for WWE’s NXT brand were officially due to performance and progress status related reasons.
