AEW Fight Forever Release Status Update
As noted before, AEW and former WWE series video game developer YUKES are currently developing a new AEW-based video game for consoles and PC called AEW: Fight Forever.
AEW’s official AEW Games account on Twitter recently denied the reports and rumors that their upcoming game will be available on release day for Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass and other subscription-based video game services.
This also seems like a good time to share that we don't anticipate #AEWFightForever being part of any monthly gaming subscription services.

AEW: Fight Forever will be available in store at your favorite retailers or online. Reserve your copy today at: https://t.co/Nv3IuMVxiN
The game currently has a placeholder release date of December 31, 2022 for both consoles and PC.
Dustin Rhodes’ AEW Contract Status Update
A recent episode of the Sports Guys Talking Wrestling podcast had Dustin Rhodes as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rhodes’ providing an update on the status of his knee injury.
“Knee’s great man. I’m feeling good. I’m ready to go back so I’ll be back very, very soon. Probably two weeks.”
While expanding on his comments, Rhodes also revealed that he currently has less than a year remaining on his current contract with AEW.
“Right now, I feel good. Yes, I am getting older so yeah, that [my future] kind of weighs on my mind a little bit.
Well, I’ve had a lot of cleanings. I never had an ACL surgery so a lot of cleanings but this is 14 surgeries all together. I was feeling a little old because my knee, it was taking me a little longer to recuperate from it but now it’s like, once it went over the hill, it’s like, great. Now I got it, it’s good to go. But I am getting older and they’re getting younger and faster and I know my time is short so, I’m just trying, you know? I still have a year under contract or a little less than a year and I’m just gonna try to do the best I can and entertain as much as I can because I still love it, you know? And [I’m] still pretty passionate about it but it is a young man’s game, as everybody finds out, as The Undertaker found out, as Bret Hart found out, Stone Cold found out. All the greats that end up getting out and you know, Jeff Jarrett just came aboard and he called himself ‘The Last Outlaw’ and I kind of have a little beef with him because of that because I consider myself — because I’m still working and still working at a high capacity. ‘The Last Outlaw’, like the last of my kind, from back in the day and that’s like a badge of honor to me and he called himself that and I kind of got pissed, and I like Jeff.”

Anna Jay Comments on Leaving Dark Order & Joining the Jericho Appreciation Society
Pro Wrestling Illustrated held a recent interview with Anna Jay. One of the topics discussed included Jay’s thoughts on leaving the Dark Order and joining the Jericho Appreciation Society in AEW.
“Well, I’ll start off by saying I’ll always love my Dark Order guys. But you know, it’s kind of one of those things where it’s I could never turn down an opportunity to work with someone like Chris Jericho. He’s someone who’s probably the most talented person I know in the wrestling business so, to work with him is really an honor and something I’ve never thought I’d be able to do. So that would be the main reason I would say and also like I said, to be able to tag with Tay [Melo] again… So I think those are the main reasons but, yeah, Chris Jericho, he’s great and I am so happy that I get to work with him.”
Jay also gave her thoughts about her current heel run in AEW.
“Uh, yeah [I feel I’ve come into the heel role]. I like doing that. I think it’s a little fun to play someone maybe who I’m really not. I don’t think I would say I’m like that in real life so I think it’s really fun. It’s also something different to do and to challenge myself. So I’m really glad I’ve been able to do that just because to change characters is just something, you know, that’s maybe not the most easiest thing but like I said, it’s challenging me and I’ve loved every second of it.”
