Biff Busick Reportedly Hired as New Full-Time Coach
As noted before, Biff Busick, former Oney Lorcan in WWE, was invited by WWE to be the guest coach at their Performance Center this week.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Busick’s visit was not due to guest coaching reasons and instead he was recently hired by WWE for a full-time coaching job at their Performance Center.
Prior to his hiring, Busick previously worked for WWE from 2015 to 2021 and primarily for their NXT brand.
Finn Balor Comments on His Match with Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules 2021 & WWE Changing Plans for Match Finish
A recent episode of the Superstar Crossover podcast had Finn Balor as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Balor revealing that WWE originally had a different plan for the ending of his match against Roman Reigns at their Extreme Rules 2021 event in September of 2021 but changed it due to Brock Lesnar’s return at the time.
“I feel like it’s just been left open-ended [finish to Balor versus Reigns at Extreme Rules 2021] and the finish hasn’t been addressed and there was an idea to go a different direction, but then Brock [Lesnar] returned and the direction changed so, that’s something you kind of have to come to terms with and understand in WWE. There’s always gonna be a — if one piece of the jigsaw changes, the whole landscape changes and if someone gets hurt or someone returns, there’s always gonna be different ideas and plans put in place. So you just gotta be able to adapt to the ever-evolving situation and that’s what we had to do but, I feel like the finish of that match has definitely caused some watercooler talk so to speak and the fact that we’re still talking about it a year later is evidence of that and I feel like, you know, perhaps the next couple of months, we should really revisit that and address what happened that night.”
