WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque held a post-show press conference following Saturday’s Clash at the Castle event to discuss a variety of wrestling-related topics.
On the topic of Clash at the Castle’s attendance, Levesque stated that over 62,000 fans attended WWE’s event. Levesque also stated that 78% of the attendance came from outside of Wales and had fans from forty-two different countries.
On the topic of the crowd atmosphere at the event, Roman Reigns, Gunther, Seth Rollins, and Liv Morgan all took turns to speak. Reigns said nothing besides demanding the person asking the question to acknowledge him and then walked off. Gunther stated that this was the first time in his career wrestling in front of an audience that large in size. Morgan stated that it felt like WrestleMania and everyone was happy. Rollins gave his thanks to the fans who sang his entrance song and made the show electric from start to finish.
On the topic of his interest in a future wrestling career, Tyson Fury stated:
“At the moment, I’m a heavyweight world champion and I have plenty of fights that I have to take in the next few years, but I really have a passion for WWE, as you saw me at Crown Jewel and here and a couple of other events. Never say never, let’s just say, Triple H is here and I’d definitely be open to it in the future for sure.”
In response to Fury’s statement, Levesque stated:
“When Tyson Fury does finish his work inside the boxing ring, probably the entire time as the world heavyweight champion, retiring undefeated, but when he does that, the door is always open for him here, we’d love to do business with him. We enjoy what we get to do with him now. Having him, and his family here is our pleasure. I know they mess with each other, I saw the look between him and Roman Reigns tonight, when the time comes and Tyson Fury and I have that conversation, I can guarantee you this, we’re gonna have to build some bigger stadiums, somewhere, to hold that event.”
On the topic of the potential for more international events in the future, Levesque stated that it is a goal WWE currently has for the future with the idea to run them in stadiums in various places around the world. Levesque also stated that this would be part of the plans for the revival of their NXT global expansion plans.
On the topic of future Clash at the Castle themed events, Levesque stated that he is interested in using the name for future events but they are limited in the amount of castles that are available to hold potential events. Levesque stated that it is more likely WWE would just keep the “Clash” part for the naming of future international events.
On the topic of Bad Bunny and other celebrities appearances for future WWE events, Levesque stated:
“Little bit of a spoiler, he and I are going to have a conversation very very soon. It’s already scheduled, we’re going to go and see what’s available. Biggest music star in the world. Let’s go.
We do things with people like Bad Bunny or Pat McAfee or Logan Paul. The excitement level that brings to fans outside of what we do, but I love working with people like that when they have the same passion that our superstars have. One thing about Bad Bunny, when we were going to work with Bad Bunny and he was going to face The Miz and they were doing all their business for that, at that period of time, I was at the Performance Center almost weekly. Every single time I would go there, I would walk in and they would say, ‘Bunny is in the other room training if you want to say hi.’ He was in there and I would go in there and he would be pouring with sweat, beat up, he was grinding. When we talked to him about that event, he went and got himself a house in Orlando, lived there, came to the Performance Center every single day. He deserves every bit of respect as everybody else. That’s what I said to him the first time, ‘You earned my respect, I don’t give it easy.”
