AEW: Swerve Strickland on Teaming with Keith Lee, AEW Fight Forever Update, Dark Elevation Results

Swerve Strickland Comments on Him & Keith Lee Working Well as a Team in AEW

A recent episode of Fightful’s Grapsody podcast had Swerve Strickland as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Strickland’s thoughts on why him and Keith Lee work so well as a team in AEW.

“Me and Keith talk about this all the time, still, we’re two individual performers that know how to perform. When you have that, as soon as the red light comes on, we perform. We’re great at timing with one another. When one is down, the other is up, instantly. It’s always synergy and we’re perpetually moving. That’s something lifelong tag teams don’t have. We’re two individuals that know our art and our business and we know what kind of picture we’re going to paint before we’re going to do it, therefore, we’re always on the same page, no matter what, tag team or singles, we just know the layout and we agree on a lot of the same philosophies that we do. That right there makes us strong individually and even stronger as a team and that’s why we’re successful at what we do because we have the same philosophies and agree on a lot of things. Even things we disagree on or don’t match 100% on, the other person picks up on. ‘Keith doesn’t do this, I’ll do it. I can’t do this, I shouldn’t be doing this, I don’t agree with that. Keith can do that.’ We also pass the buck to the other person because we’re two individual performers that are really good at performing.”
