Ricky Starks AEW Status Update & Rumors Killer
Fightful Select reported that their sources within AEW stated that the recent rumors and reports of Ricky Starks recently suffering an injury are not true. Those same sources also stated that the rumors of Starks recently asking for his release from AEW and other rumors of him recently signing a new contract with the company are also not true.
In regards to Starks’ quick loss to Powerhouse Hobbs at AEW’s All Out 2022 event this past Sunday, it was reported that AEW officials currently are planning to give Hobbs a big push and this was the reason for his win at the event. It was also reported that the reason for the match’s short length was not due to AEW officials cutting back on its time due to time constraint-related issues and instead the match simply ended earlier than originally planned.
Kris Statlander Injury Status Update
As noted before, Kris Statlander has been out of action for AEW since this past August due to a torn ACL injury.
Statlander provided an injury update on Wednesday on Twitter revealing that she had recently underwent knee surgery.

AEW Reportedly Held New Talent Meeting on Wednesday
AEW reportedly held a new meeting with talent backstage prior to the start of Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Buffalo, New York, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that details regarding this meeting are sparse beyond that their sources stated that it took place at around 4:15PM EST that afternoon following a 4PM Zoom call between CM Punk, Ace Steel, and AEW officials. Those same sources reportedly also stated that the talent meeting was led by Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, and Bryan Danielson.
Those spoken to reportedly also stated that Jericho has recently received a lot of praise backstage over how he handled the All Out 2022 post-show media scrum following CM Punk’s public rant incident.
